Please explain the concept of the trinity contasting it to the idea that God has a physical body like His children. Quoting: MagiChristmas
God does not have a physical body. "God is spirit,” He declared, “and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth” (John 4:24).
Trinity:
The Trinity is a concept that is impossible for any human being to fully understand, let alone explain. God is infinitely greater than we are, therefore we should not expect to be able to fully understand Him. The Bible teaches that the Father is God, that Jesus is God, and that the Holy Spirit is God. The Bible also teaches that there is only one God.
There is one God: Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 Corinthians 8:4; Galatians 3:20; 1 Timothy 2:5.
The Trinity consists of three Persons: Genesis 1:1; 1:26; 3:22; 11:7; Isaiah 6:8; 48:16; 61:1; Matthew 3:16-17; Matt 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14. Matthew 3:16-17 describes the event of Jesus' baptism. Seen in this is God the Holy Spirit descending on God the Son while God the Father proclaims His pleasure in the Son. Matthew 28:19 and 2 Corinthians 13:14 are examples of three distinct persons in the Trinity. Yet each member of the Trinity is God...
One of the lesser known biblical doctrines concerns Jesus as a man right now. Many do not know that right now, in heaven, Jesus is a man, though in a glorified body. Some object to this and cite various reasons (answered at the end of this paper) for denying His present humanity. They are in error. Following is a biblical demonstration that Jesus is still both divine and human in nature.
It is correct to say that Jesus is a man right now in heaven -- though a glorified man. But, it would wrong to say He was only a man. He is both divine and human in nature at the same time (Col. 2:9); He is both God and man, right now.
pretty cool, huh? The wave of the future is coming and there is no fighting it.

How does the human being interact with God the Father? How can a seemingly physical being interact with a spiritual being effectively and with certainty? Through the three aspects of the human: body-soul-spirit.
BODY
The body is the physical component of the human being and is our connection to the physical (material) realm. It is the house of the spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19). The body is composed of various chemical and organic compounds. We require Vitamins, minerals, iron, zinc, etc. We also require other organic materials in order to power the body. That is, physical food is required to feed the physical body. Regardless of the state of the spirit or soul, the body will function if it has the proper foods.
SOUL
Sometimes it helps to think of the soul as the intellectual, emotional, and the seat of the personality of an individual. The key thing here is that the soul identifies and distinguishes the individual. We are soul. We don’t have a soul because we really are living souls.
SPIRIT
Our spirit originated from God as we read in Genesis 2:7. This spirit, or breath of life, is the life force that powers our bodies and soul. Note that it appears that this life force, spirit, or breath of life was in every creature on the earth (Genesis 1:30; 6:17; 7:22).
FITTING ALL OF THEM TOGETHER
Humans are divided into three components: body, soul, and spirit. The body is the physical component of humans. The soul identifies the entire or whole living being and identifies the intellect, mind, personality, and disposition of an individual. The spirit is the life force that we have from God, the giver of all life. COmbined, gthey are the way we interact with God. The wave of the future is coming and there is no fighting it.

Oh boy. Cringe. First, no I'm not Kirk but I did watch his movie Fireproof. And I liked it too :)
The Aussie guy in the video was using the unfortunately provocative but likely naively-used example of a banana to show how God formed that item perfectly, as an extrapolating example to how He formed everything perfectly. It is a rather embarrassing example of an attempt to explain creationism and how God's creation reflects His perfection. To say "God is real because you can peel a banana easily' is overly simplistic shall we say. The wave of the future is coming and there is no fighting it.

and in the light of the following statement ...............
Ramtha on President Obama and the Black Pope Prophecy
“What do you have to look forward to in 2009? You have elected the last black pope, the last black pope of history. The seers of antiquity never knew what a president was. There was no such thing as a president. A superior, inspiring, spiritual leader was called a pope, so the seers saw in the lens of their future a black pope. He would be the runner to the end. He is called the last black pope.”
“Do I love his color? I absolutely do. He is closer to the color that I really look like. I am cinnamon-colored and dark-colored and I have very black eyes. Do I love him? Absolutely do. Is he the last figment of hope? He absolutely is. But if he prays to a Christian God, he will lose. If he follows his intuitiveness, he just might win.”
“Now 2009 is the beginning of the breaking up of America. The great stalwart being, the lady liberty that represents the West, is much against theology. All the wars going on today are not about land. They are about theology and belief systems and changing everyone’s belief system to take them back before the Stone Age, taking them back to a place of terrible laws that were only about some men’s fixation upon what they thought was right and their revenge upon others who enjoyed the liberty of freedom.”
“The social consciousness of this democracy will go into rebellion beginning this year, but its worst rebellion is happening the year that follows in the final collapse and destruction of the Earth coming in the beginning of 2012. The falling apart of the American society, as you know it, will be a falling apart because its citizenry is insecure, as there is no respect for the law. Not even the lawmakers who made the law respect the law. They will be held on the gallows as targets to say you should never do this again. Those who are supposed to protect the law abuse the law. By abusing the law, they fed in part a whole civilization’s collapse from its most beautiful redeeming quality, a civilization that was not enslaved by religion, kings, queens, and priests, a civilization that was of the people itself. Freedom given to the greatest of crooks works the system and the law to their favor. This is what is coming down. You will find that in the economic collapse.”
“If your black pope, President Obama, likens his presidency to Lincoln, he is re-creating the civil war. If master President Obama is likening his incarnation to John F. Kennedy, he is creating the Russian conflict in Cuba. There is a lesson in this. Unlike Lincoln, who is Obama’s redeemer for the American people, he must have a challenge greater than the economic problems facing this, your democracy, and the European free-thought society as a whole. When you liken yourself to a historical figure, you create the reality that supports the figure. If you go out to do Fieldwork® and your mind is on another person, you will find their card and not your card.”
“The purest example is to be an original for the future. Hope is a future, but to anchor oneself into the past is to ensure a battle royal.”
— Ramtha

and would rather just live life in accordance with our own hearts and minds
Would you continue to feel that we have the NOT the right to consider our selves as our own saviors?
if you yourself are open minded enough to allow us to live within our own constitutionally guaranteed rights of freedom of religion, how do you suggest we should handle those who feel the purpose of their lives is to decide the purpose of ours? |

I agree with your words about the Bible wholeheartedly.
And I really liked your posting with further explanation on body, soul, and spirit.
Can I save that to my documents and share it with my home fellowship group?
As far as the study we did that in our home fellowship led by a Jewish man (converted to accept Jesus) who is well studied on that subject.
I will look for my notes as I tried to post from memory and got all screwed up. (Guess that comes with age? LOL)
If I find the notes I will post more about it.
You know how there were 3 sections?
The outer courtyard, holy place, and holy of holies?
Basically (very basically as the study took 4 months) here is the jist:
Outer court (all allowed) - flesh: all see this
Holy place (priests only) - soul/intellect: some select people see this part of us.
Holy of holies (high priest only) - spirit: only God sees
(It also applies to God the trinity but that's where I need the notes to recall.) For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. Psa 103:14
