Just pause for a moment and think about it, we got foreign slaves. Would the slaves rather be sold to us and treated somewhat kindly, or sold to other foreign nations where it is worse? Besides they would likely die if left in Africa, as the other tribe that attacked them and took them as slaves would kill them instead of they couldn't sell them. Would they rather die or be slaves? They can always chose to die later.
