The markets went down 45% under Bush then rallied a little. I think they went up 20 percent and then down 14%.

Since Obama has been in office they have gone down 12% and should go down another 40 % before hitting a plateau.

After that it is anybody's guess when we will recover if ever.

The market started downward slide - almost uninterrupted - back in Feb/Mar '08 when the Democrat primary became a race to the Left. At that time it was clear that the Repubs were in disarray and that a Dem would win the Presidency. Obama and Hillary could not get Left enough fast enough ... Tripping over each other to pander to their party's most motivated primary voters ... The Left.

The market has been discounting those Left wing platforms. Got worse in Aug at the Convention when O won the nomination. Big down in Nov. Every poll showing a big O lead gave a big down day. Inaugration same same. Stimulus plan - down. Budget - down.

No doubt about it. Markets are forward looking. They have been looking forward at an Obama presidency since last year. And they don't like what they see.

Obama wants us all to be poor so that we will "need" him to take care of us. Our Dear Leader loves us and will take good care of us.

We as a country have done a great job of blending left and right thinking and coming up with something that works!!

W. gave the banking system 800 billion for what ?? Did it do anything. We have given AIG billions as of today for the 4th time!

Obama and the libs ran a pork spending bill through and Obama lied about no ear marks or pork being in the bill.

The market has not reacted to the Dems bills in a positive way. The only was Obama can make his master plan work is for the markets to take off and run!!!!!

Now he is raising taxes and hitting what he calls the rich!

We are going to raise the tax rates and give out hand outs when all is hitting the fan!!

Well, if we're going to give out hand-outs, maybe better to give some money back to the taxpayers by making jobs for people that will put the money back into the economy for food, fuel, clothing etc.(Main Street) rather than to purchase other banks or send it to Swiss banks or the Caymans (Wall Street).

B of A President said he's sorry for taking all those billions and will stay steady in his post for the next 3 years to see that it's all paid back. Right.

The new job security. I make millions of dollars a year, my business fails, I lose my shirt and a lot of other people's shirts, talk my way into a bunch of free money, spend it all real quick, then demand my overpaid and bonused job until I get the money back?

On election day the dow was at 9625.
The following day after Obama was elected the dow
dropped 486 points.
Today the market closed at 6763.
That's a total 2862 point drop.
That's nearly a 30% drop since November 4th.
