I was let down by the story, since it had more to do with money issue than the McNuggets. Arguments can turn violent. She bought something, they didn't give it to her, then she should have gotten her money back. Instead the women has to suffer a nation wide humiliation, having her picture posted all over the news.


Come on people. You're defending a 911 call made 3 times about chicken nuggets!! I wonder how many people died while dispatch had to deal with this waste of oxygen. 911 calls in rural areas I can understand but this was Ft. Pierce, Fl., with a population of almost 50,000. You mean to tell me that she couldn't have called the police station. She didn't call the police station because she was too ignorant to think about it and she was mad.


Forget about the chicken McNuggets and how funny that name sounds, because I imagine that the same story over something else, lets say a train pass, wouldn't have gotten a second look. If you bought something, paid your money, and then the item you bought wasn't given to you, wouldn't that piss you off? Now as you stand there, demanding to get your money back, since they don't have what you paid for, and get more desperate because they're basically saying fuck you, you wont get your money back, is it a stretch to think that somebody will eventually call the cops? Should she have taken a hamburger and then go outside and start yelling, "HAMBURGER FOR SALE?" What should she have done at that moment? The dispute was about money. This is such a none story.

I think your problem with this woman is that she's black more than anything. Personally I don't know if she works and pays taxes. If she does, then she has the right to call 911 to resolve a problem. She still is a US citizen.

A Florida woman called 911 three times after she paid for a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets at a McDonald's but the fast-food restaurant ran out of them and refused to give her a refund.

Latreasa L. Goodman, 27, made the calls after she tried to get her money back from a Fort Pierce McDonald's and the cashier told her all sales were final. Police released the 911 tapes.

"This is an emergency. If I would have known they didn't have McNuggets, I wouldn't have given my money, and now she wants to give me a McDouble, but I don't want one," police quoted her as saying. "This is an emergency."

The cashier suggested she choose something else off the menu of equal value to the McNuggets, and offered the restaurant's cheeseburger called the McDouble.

"She's trying to force me to eat something off the menu and I don't want it," Goodman told 911.

The first dispatcher, a woman, asks if there's a manager there, but listens to Goodman's complaints and says she's sending someone.

The second, male dispatcher tells her he's aware of the incident and "we've got an officer coming out there to talk to you."

Police say Goodman was cited on a misuse of 911 charge. A current phone listing for Goodman couldn't be found.

A McDonald's spokesman said Goodman should have been given a refund, and she's being sent a gift card for a free meal.

Most of us might understand one phone call to 911, but three? Because the cops didn't get there quick enough for her approval?
