How can one buy a gun without the government knowing?

it varies by state of course. Here if say you order a pistol of gunbroker..it must be mailed to a FFL holder (gun store etc) then you pick it up, but you still have to register the pistol and pay a small fee(unless you have a concealed carry license which waives the fee)

it's the same with a face to face. The pistol still needs to be registered down at the local police department, or else it's not legal.

that's how it's done here in Nevada.

in theory you could doa Face to face transaction and opt to not register the gun, but if you are caught with it for whatever reason, or shoot somebody with it..you are screwed.

to protect yourself? If your state requires you to registrer firearms and you dont, and then you use the illegal gun to shoot someone your screwed. If it is for the legitimate purpose of self protection you dont need to worry aobut being registerd.

I received 15 calls offering various rifles and NOT ONE caller required paperwork to be filled out. They only wanted cash.

Use a thug for the one thing they are there for. Monitor one for a while to be sure they aren't a nark. Take a trip to New York.

By the way, the phone was a throwaway prepaid so it was not registered in my name.

You can buy a Martini Henry Rifle (the ones used by British Army in the film 'Zulu') in the UK, without needing a licence.
They are classed as antique firearms.
Although of course you will need cartridges, bullets, black powder, and usable percussion caps for the cartridges/bullets.

They Do not run you when you buy "cap and ball" guns. As long as it was manufactured before 1898. Dont have to register them either. Get a nice 1861 colt navy gun.


EVEN a felon can own a cap and ball revolver legally.
