Never base jumped, but I have over 500 jumps under my belt. It is a great adrenaline rush, but unfortunately it is now too expensive.

Your first jump is the best. The second best is you first free fall.

The amazing thing was that every time I was was in the plane getting ready for the "jump run" my stomach was doing flip flops. Healthy fear I guess.

I was a liaison doctor for the Base jumpers off the KL tower in 2007. Malaysia was amazing. I went all the way there just to support the jumpers. BASE is incredible. Here's my youtube video of that part of the trip. Enjoy.
