Really depends on your market, your skill set, your book and your client. If your working for another agency it will be one price if your working with an "end-client" of your own it will be another. Median range for a Graphic Designer is $45,000.00 Freelance wise it depends also on how your going to bill. Day rate? Hourly Rate? Job Costing? Hourly I'd say around $50.00 to $60.00 per for pure design work. $15.00 or so less for studio work. Day Rate of @$500.00 +/- per day if you have the experience you say and teh book to back it... Also unless your working freelance for a big company or doing it from your house it's a good idea to get a basic freelance Contract ( a google search will do ) just to ensure you protect yourself. I know for me, alot of times my work I will create an asset to a company or individual and sell the work to them(3d model, texture or animation). not sure if it's similar in the graphics design world. it's tough doing freelance but sounds like you got the experience to give it a go. the hardest part is building a client base. "Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming--WOO HOO what a ride!" |

Use simple HTML...go light on CSS and frames....emphesize the message, not the bells and whistles....have samples on hand of your graphics prowess...YOU CAN DO IT!!! |
