HELP! ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO UNJAM A SEATBELT THAT WON'T RELEASE FROM THE HATCH?
Got a fukn ticket yesterday for driving with a jammed seat belt. Driver side toyota truck seatbelt won't release from the hatch. Have tried brute strength, fucker won't move. Will have to order a new one cuz truck is 10 years old. Don't really have the $$$ now.

Anybody out there know any tricks I can use? Just want the fucker to release, don't care if it works all the way. Just has to appear to work. Don't care if I die. Not an issue. But while I'm still livin don't want anymore stupid tickets.

Spray in WD-40 and work the buckle a few times.

A nice sharp tactical knife will slice right through that seat belt.

OP, you don't need to order one. Have your husband go to the junkyard and pick one up for about $10

He tried that, but they didn't have one. Gonna try to rig it so it just stays out all the time instead of going back into the hatch. Think that will work?

Just had it happen to me also, but I managed to get it free.
What I did was push the latch in harder, then slowly pulled it out, moving it side to side and pushing release button off and on. Its just a matter of perseverence until u get aligned correctly. Took about 5 minutes, and no I'm not describing a sex act.

Re: HELP! ANYBODY KNOW HOW TO UNJAM A SEATBELT THAT WON'T RELEASE FROM THE HATCH?
The pin that locks it during a collision is stuck.

Tap it with a hammer while trying to get the belt out. Don't apply constant pressure on the belt just keep trying as you tap it with the hammer.

Be sure to tap it on the rear as the pin should want to fall BACK into place on it's own.

It will be like a tapping and jerking type deal. (best I can explain)

Another thing you could try is braking hard while in reverse.
