He didn't say the world would end in 2008! Geeze! He even talked of a short, intense WWIII in 2015. I'm done here.

if you haven't seen it, the evidence is that a GURPS role playing
game from the mid nineties has an almost identical plot to John's
future - even the dates. The link for the rpg site is down now. But it
seems to confirm beyond reasonable doubt that it is a hoax.

read about this story this morning and can't believe how long this story has went without being discredited.
John Titor's time machine is a 1950's vintage Civil Defense Set, used in fallout shelters to detect radiation in the air and on people. In one of the photo's of the "time machine" John has pulled the CDV 700 series radiac used for personnel from the container, you can clearly see the Civil Defense Logo on the side of the meter. The metal box that houses the set also contains an air monitor that checks for Tritium and or Neutron radiation. The schematics are for the air monitor that used Ion Mobility Spectrometry or scintillation to detect radiation.
These kits can be purchased at military surplus stores for pocket change, or even found at old fallout shelters.

I fully concur with your source. The folks in my office HDER (Homeland Defense Equipment Reutilization) also concur. I am currently looking for a manual for this type of monitor. They were state of the art in the 1960's and very few were ever made. They were difficult and dangerous to operate as they used compressed carrier gases to monitor the atmosphere. Most likely because of the expense they were reserved for shelters that would house high profile individuals. I have e-mailed a few of my friends who specialize in radiological and chemical monitoring to see if they can remember the nomenclature of this monitor. I will let you know when I hear from them.

Oh yeah nvm your right, but hey, that doesn't change it. I can't just go around and predit a war and discussed of them having weapons of mass destructions before of it even being accused. The model shown in Titor's photos does not appear to be the CD V-700 because its handle is not metal-colored and there is no external GM tube present.

I have understood, for some time now, that Titor was 4 years off. The big question is , was this deliberate?
Look at his predictions for 2005. Look around and see.

"He" is a fictional stunt to see how many people can be convinced the sky is falling. Titor's time machine is a Cold War contraption that still has Civil Defense markings on them. In the face of the truth, the masses will believe a lie if it induces fear.

So what is the GRUPS module?

Way back when the Titor info was first put out I remember thinking that what he said sounded pretty radical and not very likely. However in 2009 things have certainly changed and I think Americans are now definitely thinking life as they knew it has changed for the worst.

General Universal Roleplaying System.

Old dice rolling roleplaying games called Gurps. Basically a great set of rules that came before computer games and all that. Back when us pencil pushing geeks were rolling 20 sided dice and playing as warriors, wizzards, and future soldiers.

A module was just a book with info in it on something like if you want to play a soldier in the future here is some stats and some rules that work well with dice.

'It's a 4 year error problem and it can't be fixed. Titors system stored any date as a whole number of days with an arbitrary starting date. The default first date, represented by the number 1, is January 1, 1900. However, Titors machine also supported an alternate date system in which the default first date was January 2, 1904. This 1904 date system is the default date used at the TTI in 2036. Somewhere in the dim and distant past, Titor selected that date system for the machine and that's giving us the trouble now. There is a four year glitch in the system which, imo, Titor was aware of, but did not know how to make right.'

I researched him for 2 years. I even know a couple of the people that he was posting with. I never could find him, nor could I debunk it. I even talked with Cheetum about being in the next documentary. I think the myspace is fake. However, I do believe there is something to the story. I'm not dogging you OP. I'm just saying that I don't think you have him tagged. Sorry. I'm sure you can do some checking and find out that I'm telling you the truth. BTW, I do have 1 of the few copies of the documentary around here someplace. I wish you luck in your endeavor.
