big bankruptcy coming...rumor on the eco boards
the folks over at ticker forum and treeofliberty are claiming there are rumours floating around about the possible bankruptcy of the biggest corporation to ever declare...

top contenders for the general opinions are GM, Chrysler, AIG

I think the auto sector is currently just going through the motions to make it look like they did everything they could to stave off filing for it...that way they will go to court and get out of at least 1/2 of what they owe on pensions- because that's how the courts will rule...
but then again-there's a serious backlash against AIG brewing right now...but letting the huge bond insurer fail will cause a very very serious financial calamity

GM is the obvious one, but it could be one of a number of companies.

GE or GM. The Fed cannot afford to let AIG go under. Its tentacles extend worldwide.

Chrysler is private right?...maybe they will "test the waters" for the rest of them because they haven't asked for any bailout cash and it'll appear to be all "above board" in the pension scam

Get Ready for Mass Retail Closings

About 220,000 stores may close this year in America, says our guest, retail consultant Howard Davidowitz of Davidowitz & Associates. As more Americans save and spend less, it's clear there's too much retail space. Just visit Web site deadmalls.com and track retail's growing body count. And luxury retailers? They're on "life support," Davidowitz says.

Among the brandname stores Davidowitz says are in trouble:

Nordstrom
Neiman Marcus
Tiffany
Jeweler Zale Corp.
Saks
J.C. Penney
Sears

I wish it were GE or IBM...

But that's unlikely.

But it'd be nice the 'control grid people' dying off.

somebody said GE..that is very interesting because there were rumors that they were getting backdoor bailout money and they are the largest company in the world with tentacles in almost every kind of business around the globe

I figure they will be going down but not sure when. Their prices are rediculous and nobody goes to Rite Aid for anything anymore.

Same with CVS

My instincts say it's GE because the Obama sucks Union balls and he won't let that cash cow be sad by tanking GM.

Saw an interesting blurb about how GE aviation shut down a Chinese Airline because they were behind on payments. Sounds like they are really hurting for cash.

Do you think this would have anything to do with the AIG bonuses and bankruptcy as a way of breaking the contracts?
