Florida's Republicans are in denial. They refuse to accept the fact that Barack Obama is the President of the United States.
Late last week, Congressman Bill Posey from Melbourne drafted legislation designed to fan the rumors on the extreme fringe of the Republican Party questioning President Obama's citizenship. These rumors are completely false, but they just won't give up. Congressman Posey should be focused on creating jobs and jumpstarting the economy, but it seems he's only obsessed with pandering to the right wing.

Floridians need our leaders to be focused on how to crate more jobs, expand healthcare and fix the economy, not pander to fringe elements. Florida Democrats fighting against these smears and working to elect leaders that will work for all of us.

Let's bring change to Florida today. Help us to elect Democrats in 2010.

But, Bill Posey isn't the only Republican in Florida who wants President Obama to fail - and it's not just Palm Beach resident Rush Limbaugh either.

State Senator Ronda Storms refused to acknowledge the fact that President Obama is the President during a hearing in the State Senate. Senator Storms repeatedly called Obama, "Senator Obama," "Candidate Obama," then she called him "The Messiah." And when the Democrats objected, the Republican Committee Chairman just got mad.

Bill Posey, Ronda Storms and too many other Florida Republicans remind us that there is so much more work to be done before we can truly bring change to Florida. And we are going to need your help to do it.
