Alternative cures to parkinson's disease...?
I have someone in my life who has parkinson's, and I would like to ask anyone reading if they know of any alternative treatments or cures that are not pharmaceutical drugs or surgery, I have done some research and it seems to me that a lot of parkinsons cases are caused by consumption or contact with toxic substances (heavy metals, pesticides) built up in the body over time, now the OFFICIAL story that mainstream doctors support is that PD is degenerative and non-curable until they die, but this goes against some of my preliminary findings, about the toxins....

Does anyone have any advice on wholistic / natural / alternatives to treat parkinson's disease? Anyone know of the true cause of most parkinsons cases? Any suggestions or a link to a good source of information would be very much appreciated and grateful

Jack LaLanne power juicing? I dunno. Good nutrition. And keeping the mind occupied. Singing. Playing games. Telling jokes. Puzzles. Hobbies. Walking and talking. Reading. Human interaction. Hugs.

Best wishes!
That does not compute.

Re: Alternative cures to parkinson's disease...?
I have early onset parks. what works for me is a daily regiment of tobacco, turmeric, coffee and cannabis. I'll take valerian a cpl times a week. the tobacco, hand roll or pipe only, NO TAILOR MADE CIGS, and the coffee both provide a good dopamine kick that helps to stop the tremors. a lot of the cells that die due to parks are dopamine producers so a little bit of dopamine while twitching like a paint shaker seems to help. a rollie and a bong hit helps to get rid of the cramps I get in my hands, feet, calves and forearms. the turmeric does sumtin with the sticky protein globs that cling to brain cells and kill them. the cannabis provides the cannabinoids that a parks brain doesn't make enough of. the valerian is usually just a relaxant. I use these herbals b/c they're not nearly as harmful as any of the fda approved parks drugs and I don't have time to drink whisky and snort coke all day. besides, tobacco and grass are cheaper than coke and whisky. that's the herbal supplement side, on to the therapy side. brain games, lots of brainiac type games. chess, poker (don't make real bets, gambling and parks don't mix), cribbage and most card games that require you to remember whats been played (learning how to 'count' cards from a six deck shoot is good therapy). take some college classes, tough ones but ones you'll enjoy. I just recently went back to college after a 20 yr break, taking electrical engineering. learning new and difficult material has really helped me with memory retention. I'm a lot sharper now than I was 8 months ago.

basically it comes down to supplementing the brain chemistry and exercising the brain. use it or lose it.

Pain killers may dissolve Alzheimer's disease plaques

Ibuprofen dissolves the plaque that the virus hides behind....

I would take them with any herbal "virucides", one that is great is the "nutribiotic" brand CONCENTRATE Grapefruit seed extract.

Green tea: Certain constituents called catechins found in green tea have been studied for their ability to inhibit influenza virus replication and their direct virucidal effects. One study evaluated polyphenolic compound catechins ((-)-epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), (-)-epicatechin gallate (ECG) and (-)-epigallocatechin (EGC)) from green tea for their ability to inhibit influenza virus replication in cell culture and for potential direct virucidal effect. Among the test compounds, the EGCG and ECG were found to be potent inhibitors of influenza virus replication. It has been suggested that the antiviral effect of catechins on influenza virus is mediated not only by specific interaction with HA, but via alteration of the physical properties of the viral membrane.
