Just remember this when upgrading the Sony.

They are kings of proprietary issues. I had to switch a fan, which should have been simple but for some reason nothing but a Sony fan will fit. It was cheaper to purchase a new pc. No bullshit.

You should find out in advance from sony which products will work. Just my 2 cents from a former sony vaio owner.
