falldown User ID: 520470 United States 03/26/2009 12:42 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | [link to www.photonlight.com] It's about the size of someone's thumb, but they make them that size because if they're too small they're a pain to handle. Other companies probably make them much smaller, and one company (I can't remember the name) makes them so small the battery is the largest part of the thing, you just clip the battery onto them, and that's your light. Not saying it can't be a bug, but it doesn't have any real listening apparatus, from the video. The way to check would be to pull it apart (you'll likely destroy it) and see if there's a microphone assembly on, or connected to the board. Also, if you see more than one or two small chips, it's suspicious. Anything too perfect, and it likely wouldn't be just laying there. ~ ~ "He who does not understand your silence will probably not understand your words." ~Elbert Hubbard |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 642881I'm thinking it was probably the other half of a keychain, and it broke off when someone got ready to leave and pulled their car keys out their pocket or purse. The other half is probably still connected to their keys. ~ ~ "He who does not understand your silence will probably not understand your words." ~Elbert Hubbard |

Frigg Stuyvesant User ID: 621289 United States 03/26/2009 01:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Probably not a bug. Looks like a LED flashlight to me. Hard to tell without pulling it apart completely. Maybe homemade, because anything commercial would be protected a little better. It's possible it's half of something else, that separated. Quoting: falldownThat's it. Cui Bono? |
