Trader Joe's

That's very uncharacteristic of TJ's - where is that store? My wife works at Trader Joe's, and I used to, too. That's where we met, actually... :)

We shop there too, but two things:

Occasionally bugs in crackers.

Some pastas have been contaminated with something like sand.

Oh well, nobody's perfect...

We shop at TJ's for nearly everything and have since I have lived in Phoenix (over a decade). The cheeses are wonderful and great prices, prepared foods are great, wonderful bread, lots of fun stuff for treats, love their frozen foods and desserts. Staff is friendly and fun. We will buy a few items at the regular grocery such as sodas, staples, etc. But most everything else comes from TJ's. They aren't cheap but are much more economical for high end type products than the regular stores. I gladly pay more for the quality and originality. Besides all that, TJ's is FUN!

Meh-they just opened one in my area and not impressed. Store is tiny compared to local stores and very limited selection. People who work there are not helpful.

It's in Rochester, NY. I just ran in there for a few ingredients for a recipe thinking it would be quicker than going to the Wegmans in the same plaza which was packed. TJ store is only slightly larger than a 7-11 and pretty empty. I got the mushrooms I needed but they did not have the other ingredients so I ended up at Wegmans anyway. Don't think it can really compete with the local Wegmans and Topps stores and hearing about bugs in the crackers and sand in the pasta from pp I am not anxious to return.
