Queen Elizabeth II is also an honoray Princess of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation, the Prelate of that Empire is the Pope in Rome at the Vatican. There is even at this time an Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation who is very much behind the full push to the fully incorporated pan-european European Union... and and his council of Princes and Princesses (honorary and otherwise) are the very people pushing the hardest for the fullest acceptance of the complete unification of all nations of Europe into one supreme entity.

For the record, Prince Charles is now a member of the Roman Catholic Church, there by placing the Pope over him in things religious. It will be about 500 years since Henry VIII overthrew the RCC in his kingdom and became the head of the Angelican Church in complete opposition to the Pope in Rome. When Charles achieves the Throne as King, it will be a complete reversal of what Henry VIII had done.
