So I am goofing with my dog..

Brittany is adorable.
Here's our mutt...not anywhere near as cute as Brittany, but we love him. Saved him from a kill shelter the very day he was scheduled to be put down .

Being Southern he's a beauty, love that little face.... and bless you for rescuing him. He knows it too! I often wonder why people want puppies when there are so many older animals that need a home.... and are being put down. It just doesn't make sense....???

my guys were taken from a breeder who was overcrowded and she was getting rid of them one way or another. I took three the first time and found homes for five the second time.....

Wish I could take more.... they don't have the greatest life with this woman :(

Kani... how can I be lonely? I have my dogs.....

I have always allowed them to speak their minds... should they wish. After all, barking is one of the ways they communicate.

Brittany is a prime example.... she will use a particular bark when she wants something I have.... mostly food ;)

When Brittany wants something she wants it now.... please! She's a real cutie, demanding and I love her for her feisty attitude.

Now Flaycie ... well she's something else... she's returned to the Bridge (December 22/08). Flaycie loves squeaky toys, she never had a toy until she came to live with me. How I spoiled her with squeaky toys... they brought so much pleasure to her ... thereby giving me the pleasure of seeing her happy..... I miss my little black girl, very much....

My dog is very dominate,she thinks she runs things,at least until i yell at her.

I forgot to mention that my dog(pitbull) learned the art of humping legs from another female(boxer) when she was young.I was staying at my friends house and brought my dog over and she picked up this habit from that boxer.Its funny as hell and i blame myself for letting her do it(pun) so much but it can be embarrassing when she trys to hump my girl in public or when i look outside in my backyard and my dog is humping our other dog...lol

My dog was run over by a car 3 days ago. She was nearly killed.

She's half cattle dog and chases cars like they were sheep trying to steer them by nipping at their heels/tires.

She got banged/crushed pretty good but she is walking, trotting for a few seconds and even wagged her tail today. She still has trouble locating food directly in front of her nose, she may have some nerve damage or a bruise on the brain.

Just 3 days ago the vet and the driver of the car thought she was as good as dead. Vultures arrived because she bled so much. The Vet wouldn't let me see her till he discussed amputations and euthanasia.

Yet she is more than halfway recovered in just 3 days.

Dogs are more worthy of respect and admiration than their human masters as a general rule.

BTW this thread is stupid. My dog could conceive a better thread. Just sayin.

Mine is just way too demanding. When he wants to go outside, when he wants to come in...when he wants to go to bed...something more to eat...it never ends! He's worse than a kid running in and out. I love him to pieces. He's very protective and guards me non-stop.

Cool Kanigo...just read this thread...I hope your dog brings you much enjoyment over the years...pets are good stress reducers by the way (usually) and they become family members to most of us, don't they?!

Kanigo. I just heard some very sad news about you. I've no idea how old it is or if it's true. But, that it's also very private. My heart felt condolences. I'm so very sorry to hear. Hugz and my best to you. I hope you are doing OK.

OMG these dogs have personality!

Hmmmm, my dog Brutus will run down a rabbit across the fields or bring back various gopher or squirrel parts as trophies of his conquest but fetch... nah. He gives me that look and I know that look well. It's the one that says, "If ya wanted the damn thing so bad why the hell did ya throw it?"
