concentrated, it takes the nicotine from 3 cigarettes to kill a full-grown adult of pretty much any size. It's fast acting, too. It's lethal on skin contact, and the subject will feel "odd" within seconds of making contact with the poison, and quickly progress to sickness, and depending on his/her metabolism, will be gone in hours.

It's an old poison, and one of the first ones coroners look for. There are a couple ways of fighting it, but most people don't get help in time. They feel ill, go and lie down, and by the time someone realizes that they haven't gotten back up, it's too late. Because of the speed of the drug, even when medical care is prompt, there's usually lasting damage.

Aka...drinking it probably isn't a good idea...although it seems to me they wouldn't be too eager to put such an available poison into bottles for easy use...at least, not without some sort of precaution against this kind of thing, so who knows...
