What do you Southerners hate about Northerners?

They smarter than bubba.

No, you're self-centered, self-worshiping, self-important, ass-bred street trash. Jealous of your proximity to Canada? Is that some feeble attempt at humor? Canadians have the good taste to "question your integrity as humans" as well. Your cities, industries, quality of life, people (my apologies to real people out there for referring to these rust belt rats as "people") are in total decay. Your rivers are so polluted with your filth you can walk across them. You can't even see a crystal clear sunrise or sunset. Greedy unions have destroyed your businesses. Violent crime is far greater in the north. And you also call us racists? Why is there more per capita interracial marriage here in the South than there is up north? Why are our cities more desegregated than yours? Why are there more white supremacist groups in the north, mid-west and west than there is here? How many race riots have you seen in the South versus other parts of this country? Open up your eyes you snow blind morons, the truth about you and your "superior northern culture" (truly an oxymoron) is going to come to light.

Their bigotry. And their twangy accents.

Northerners have turned our Southern towns into vast homeowners associations.

When I ran for mayor here in our town, I heard this a lot from Southerners who wanted to move here, but couldn't find a home in a neighborhood that wasn't controlled by an HOA, chaired by New Yorkers.

The worst stereotype about southerners is that we're all stupid and inbred. I'll have you know, I'm a true southern girl and have a 4.75 gpa in an extremely competitive high school. You know, there will be stupid people everywhere; it doesn't matter where you're raised.
This is why we don't like northerners, or as I call em dern yankees. You're just plain rude.

I'm from NC, and I just wanna tell you we aren't jealous. What the heck is there to be jealous of up there? Yall don't even know how to drink your tea right. As far as the Civil War goes, we're over it. Not all of us dislike black people. And the ignorance, totally wrong. Worst stereotype of us ever.

Nothing. I dig northerners, their accents, the fact that they deal with snow. The only thing I note about northerners that dismays me is that some of them think of the south as gun-toting inbred rednecks. That's, uh, pretty wrong, but many of them think we're all racists, stuck in the 30's, I don't know. I never understand this. But in general, I Luuuuuuv northerners (except some selected NYC locals - they can really do "mean" when they want to).

The '60s are over. I'm talking about the 1860s. At least for me anyway.

I don't mind snow. I don't even mind shoveling it.

What I am concerned about is what life would be like if I lost heat or power in January or February during a snowstorm.

Having your pipes freeze is no fun. And that would be the least of your worries.

I don't miss the mosquitos. I loathe those things. That and the humidity. Nothing quite as disturbing as AL in the summertime. You can hear the bugs buzzing and you break out in sweat as soon as you step outside.

I meet Southerners up North who like to act friendly and then play all dirty sneaky underhanded. I watch my back around them. There are friendly people up North but in a different way, and then these Southerners try to take advantage of that.

As far as good Mexican food, I have had it North and South. As far as barbecue, I had Kraft BBQ sauce on grilled chicken or teriyaki sauce on a grilled potato and thought it was good.

As far as biscuits, I had those in Virginia and they tasted like powdery hockey pucks. I would rather have a nice whole wheat roll.

I find it hard to believe that there are more racists groups in the North than in the South. There are those groups in the North, but I thought the South invented that.

I can go either way. I get Lynyrd Skynyrd and "Sweet Home Alabama", and I get Neil Young and "Southern Man".

I think they do basically try to have good manners in the South but they can do some pretty dirty dealings behind the scenes.

Living in the south for 5 hellish years, I can speak from experience. The south is like living on a different planet. Don't get me wrong.. all those southerners down there think It's just grrreeeat!! but being that they've never left their county since the day they were born doesn't speak volumes either. To each his own. Fact: the food is terrible, the roads are even worse... the accent??? is that really English? the women... gotta love them, they're all blonde, have the same stupid hairdo and all wear the ugliest things available because the stores all cater to the "old lady" look. It was an education living in NC. I learned that I don't even want to drive through that god awful disgusting state. But that's just my opinion.

And one last little tid bit I forgot to add, the dis -ingenuousness and pretentiousness of many southern people is really very transparent. for all you Northerners thinking of moving to any southern state, watch out. They're a bunch of backstabbers after they smile in your face. A total disgrace.
