In the West South West Sky Last Night, Did Anyone Else Notice How Incredibly Much that Star/Planet/??? Was Blinking?
I think it had to be either Jupiter or Venus. But man, I never saw anything be so agitated as that last night.

It was incredible. Getting brighter/dimmer/changing colors. Blueish then red. Flashing. I never saw aything like that!

And I watch the sky almost every night. My thoughts actually went to if it's Jupiter, is it igniting?

Anyone else notice it last night?

Yes I saw it east coast around 830-9 I really thought it was a high flying plane the first 2-3 minutes. I then assumed UFO of some sort or maybe a military craft but I guess that could have been a planet.

Possibly a plane of sorts. Planets typically do not flicker, and around that time you stated above jupiter wouldn't have been visible on the East coast.

It's caused by atmospheric disturbance/heat/pollution etc. It's a very well-known phenomenon. Jupiter is not going to ignite.

There were huge black things moving around in the universe last night. Ships of some sort?

It was no plane. I observed it from about 8pm to 10pm. If Jupiter wasn't up it must have been Venus. I haven't seen any stars that bright. It just was so....agitated.

Changing colors and all.

Last night was very strange. It seemed so long.

I had a weird feeling all night last night.

I am starting to wonder if something happend.

That's the bright star Sirius and as it is low in the sky at this time of year, it is highly affected by atmospherics, especially just after sunset when the air temperature is rapidly changing, making it twinkle.

That was so weird. And knowing that it was Sirius is real freaky.

I feel there was. I don't know. Never mind.

Around that time frame neither Jupiter nor Venus was visible. Saturn would be visible however

Neither would be flickering(at a minimum they would not flicker as intensely as you stated)

Procyon, Betlegeuses, Sirius. all visible during that time and are quite bright, and may at times depending on the atmospherics "appear" to "change color".

Seeing as how it was very far away and I was in a vehicle doing 80 miles per hour I wasn't exactly trying to scientifically pinpoint what it was. For all I care it could have been an alien ship and I would have kept going.

This was off another forum.

"Something amazing happened last night," reports astronomy professor Jimmy Westlake of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. "As I was shooting a star trail picture of the sky's brightest star, Sirius, it flashed out a message on the film! How's your International Morse code?"

This is actually a series of 28 separate exposures on one piece of film. The 'dots' are 30-second exposures; the 'dashes' are 3-minute exposures. The 'shutter' creating the gaps was my shivering, gloved hand held over the lens in the 0ºF Colorado air. The entire message required just under two hours to record. Every few minutes, I had to turn on a blow dryer to keep the frost from forming on the lens--and me!"

"Give up? Apparently, the Universe is announcing the arrival of the
International Year of Astronomy 2009!" The message reads:

Re: In the West South West Sky Last Night, Did Anyone Else Notice How Incredibly Much that Star/Planet/??? Was Blinking?
Pleiadians

There are groups of humanoids who come from a group of seven stars known collectively as the Pleiades. They are more evolved than mankind on earth and offer their support to us in terms of spiritual guidance. Those Pleiadians that I channel have perfected the expression of unconditional love and harmony within society as well as individually. They have mastered these aspects whilst being in physical bodies and so have much practical guidance to pass onto mankind about how to operate from a multi-dimensional basis within a physical human body. Here they have recognised the shared social experience of God / Goddess within the appreciation of art, music and dancing as being a unifying focus. They naturally want to share this approach with us. Many channels and Pleiadian starseeds are drawn to these areas within their communications and channelings with the Pleiadian Masters. Indeed many starseeds currently come from the Pleiades and their missions are to bring these higher teachings here to earth. There have been many such waves of starseeds from the Pleiades throughout history. Strong connections have historically existed between the Pleiades and with North and Central American Indians and are illustrated within their art. Indeed like with the Sirians, there is a common belief that the Pleiadians have been partly responsible for seeding mankind here on earth and that we share our DNA with them.

The Pleiadians are more aware of the divine feminine or Goddess than mankind. They align themselves to the creative forces of the Goddess an work within the cycles of nature. This has allowed them to become masters of agriculture as they work with nature spirits to co-create the wonderful fruits, flowers and vegetables. This is harmony with nature and the divine feminine energies and consciousness. This includes their use of water itself as a living consciousness. The Pleiadians are very knowledgeable about the effects of food and water on the physical body.

However within these perfected societies lie less opportunities to growth spiritually in new ways. This is because their consciousness has become more static and their life styles no longer offer new areas to explore. As such some Pleiadians choose to incarnate here on earth in order to seek growth from new experiences and opportunities. As mankind is less evolved, then being human on earth offers a wider range of experiences and challenges as there is still much negativity here and therefore potential for learning and growth. The understanding of the integration of polarities is an example of this.

When I connect with the Pleiadian guides in channeling, I experience their energies as being light and loving. They are often humorous and seek to give simple guidance as to how to ground divine love into our daily lives.

It is the star Sirius, and it has been blessing us with its energy for eons. It has been doing the same thing every time I saw it, weather permitting, for all the 70 years I've been here. It is the only star that changes colors.

It is below and to the left of Orion's Belt, and is the closest star to our solar system.

Actually the closest Star would be the sun, and then Alpha Centauri.

Re: In the West South West Sky Last Night, Did Anyone Else Notice How Incredibly Much that Star/Planet/??? Was Blinking?
I've been watching this star for weeks now, depending on the day of the week its "altitude" changes. Sometimes its higher in the sky and sometimes its lower, as it was last night. I live in Southern California and last night this celestial body was really low and glowing/flashing from green to red, amazing! I first saw it so low and glowing about 4 weeks ago and thought it was a UFO at first, but its there every night. I have to say in my 28 years on this planet, I've never seen anything like it and I always admire the stars.

I have noticed that there are many larger bodies of "light" lower in the sky, must be common for this time of year or are they something else? Just saying...

Is it because the Earth's tilt is increasing like mentioned in other threads ( I haven't read any of those threads)?

Thanks for posting on this topic OP!

Yes I realize it is Sirius now. I have observed it before and seen it change colors but nothing like last night.

I do remember reading a post not too long ago in another forum of an idigo child that has been communicating with the Sirians and asks them questions and hears their response in her mind as she looks at Sirius.

This all clicked for me now. And I feel like there was some communication coming through.

Then those feelings I had all last night.

I feel a real connection to the Pleadians. I truely feel there is urgent communication coming through now from Sirius.

As if something big is happening.

I casually star watch 4-5 nights out the week year round.

I have noticed unusual things at different times.

This really hit me last night.

It truelly felt like there was communication behind it.

Were is the person telling (and told me) that stars are not blinking but twinkling?

I don't think it is a star for (at least the star I am observing south west from Europa) is sometimes green-red, sometimes white, sometimes it makes circles sometimes it gets backs and forth but I can find it every day at the same place. I am not the only one, there is a thread in a German forum about this star moving around asking if it would not be a UFO watching for a specific area.

And yes, I am attracted to Sirius (not pleiades) and when I look there I feel at home.
