Are they just getting sloppy? Will this article get legs and the truth come out on aids, bird flu, swine flu, fort Detrick, and the three missing vials? Does the CDC and WHO know the true nature of this bug, and thus all the hoopla over a seemingly benign bug?

According to the belief of two renowned reporters who spoke with top officials at the UN and WHO, the epidemic of the new strand of swine flu virus in Mexico is the result of an artificially created pathogen, the Online Journal reported.
Swine flu, Ebola and HIV were produced in laboratories
The reported from Mexico City claims that one of the leading UN scientists discovered certain joint transmission vectors, that is, the transmission of the swine flu virus is similar to the transmission of the Ebola virus and of the HIV/AIDS virus, which indicates that they were genetically modified with the aim of being military bio-weapons.
The UN scientist is convinced that the swine flu virus, A-H1N1, and Ebola and HIV viruses were in fact manufactured biological weapons.
As proof, they state that the usual process of transmission is that the virus is transmitted from a pig to a human, which is not the case in this outbreak because no case of a pig being infected with the A-H1N1 virus has been registered. Furthermore, the A-H1N1 virus partly contains American pig genes, partly human and bird flu strains and the virus of the Euro-Asian swine flu.
American military responsible
The other reporter, from Jakarta, claims that WHO leaders are worried that the current swine flu virus has been genetically modified to be transmitted from one species to another because of the fact that the A-H1N1 virus contains the genetic material of the H5N1 virus, that is, bird flu.
Allegedly, American scientists exhumed the body of a woman who died of the Spanish flu in 1918 and used the genetic material of the flu virus as the basis for the creation of the H5N1 virus through genetic manipulation. All this happened in laboratories at the Fort Detrick military base from which the new strain of anthrax called ames originated.

Beautiful, guess who was CEO of the company that makes Tamiflu, and probably still holds a lot of shares. None othe then Mr. Rumsfield. Between him and the Bush cartel, we don't stand a chance.
SWINE FLU
Artificially Created Virus Can Escape Laboratory
It is impossible to stop the virus spreading virus to Croatia. An immunology scientist confirmed it is possible for a virus to escape a lab.
The new swine flu virus, which is a combination of viruses typical for pigs, birds and people, began spreading at an unstoppable speed. The virus killed at least 149 people in Mexico, it has spread to the United States and Canada and it has been confirmed that it has now spread to Europe and Asia.
Swine Flu Created in Lab as Bio-Weapon?
A reporter from Jakarta claims that WHO leaders are worried that the current swine flu virus has been genetically modified to be transmitted from one species to another because of the fact that the A-H1N1 virus contains the genetic material of the H5N1 virus, that is, bird flu.
As the virus is spreading, the media have began speculating that it had been created in a laboratory as a biological weapon. A UN scientist is convinced that the swine flu virus, A-H1N1, and Ebola and HIV viruses were in fact manufactured biological weapons. A month ago, the Austrian subsidiary of the American pharmaceutical company Baxter “accidentally” sent a bird flu virus to laboratories in neighbouring countries, which proves that a virus can in fact “escape” from a lab. Keeping this in mind, it is completely logical that very few people will believe that vials containing the swine flu virus accidentally exploded in a passenger train in Switzerland during which one person was injured. But scientists claim that that type of virus is not hazardous to humans.
We turned to Dr. Sc. Renata Mazuran from the Croatian Institute of Immunology for an expert opinion. She confirmed for Javno that it is indeed possible for a virus to “escape” from a laboratory and that it could have fatal consequences.
It is impossible that a virus circulates among the population unchanged for 27 years
- A wild virus or a flu virus created by genetic engineering can “escape” from a laboratory. Possible the most serious such incident happened in 1918 when the H1N1 virus, which caused an epidemic, escaped. That virus strain disappeared from the population after a pandemic in 1957. However, in 1977, a H1 virus, identical to the one that had been isolated in 1950, suddenly reappeared, causing a milder epidemic. It is almost completely impossible for a virus to circulate among the population unchanged for 27 years. This means that it “escaped” from laboratory freezers and a lab worker could have been infected. Another way of a virus escaping is a vaccine that was insufficiently attenuated – Mazuran explained. She stressed that there are clear regulations for storage and work with infectious materials.
Mazuran also confirmed that a virus, such as this swine flu, which is a combination of three types of viruses, can be produced in a laboratory.
There was a bird flu epidemic in 2005 and early 2006. The only cure for the deadly disease was a drug called Tamiflu, which was produced by the Gilead Sciences pharmaceutical company, whose CEO happened to be Donald Rumsfeld from 1997 to 2001. He stepped down from the position after he took up office as the chief of the Pentagon in Bush’s administration. But he did not give up his shares in the company. The American company made millions of dollars and its shares skyrocketed. The American media called Rumsfeld the bird flu profiteer, having become one of the wealthiest men in America from the earnings from the drug.
- But this does not exclude the natural course of development of the virus – she warned.
Who Will Profit from the Deadly Flu This Time?
It should be stressed that after the occurrence of the virus, the shares of pharmaceutical companies went up. One of them is America’s Baxter, which confirmed that it was working on producing a vaccine. On the other hand, Mexican tourism is falling apart and the shares of air carrier companies, tourist agencies, hotels and so on have plummeted.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) raised the emergency threat of a possible pandemic level to 4, which indicates that the virus is easily spread among humans and that it can cause seats that infect entire communities.
Dr. Mazuran explained that it is characteristic of RNA viruses, such as the swine flu, to mutate quickly and that it is not unusual for them to be transmitted among humans.
- We do not know how long this virus has been circulating among the population. The epidemic in Mexico allegedly started in early March – Mazuran said.
It is interesting that the only deaths from the swine flu were registered only in Mexico, while those infected in other countries are recovering well.
- No virus threatens just one race, but it is a fact that certain races are more susceptible to certain viral infections than others – Mazuran explained and added that overpopulation, living standards and hygiene are important factors.
She especially warned that the exact number of infected people must be confirmed by a lab test. The existing lab test is not specific, which is why a new, more specific test is being developed, she said.
Asked if the spreading of the virus could be stopped before it reaches Croatia, Mazuran said no.
In the end she stressed that it takes about eight months to produce a vaccine against the flu and its distribution on the market.

Now this is interesting, a possible cure to any and all flu's, with a one time treatment.
HEALTH-ANTIBODY
Second Team Finds Natural Super Flu Fighter
Crucell NV`s antibody grabs onto a hidden part of flu viruses, stopping them from infecting cells.
An antibody being developed by a Dutch drug company chokes off both seasonal flu and the H5N1 avian flu virus and might offer a way to develop better treatments and vaccines, researchers reported on Thursday.
Crucell NV's antibody, a naturally occurring immune system protein, grabs onto a hidden part of flu viruses, stopping them from infecting cells, they reported in the journal Science.
It is the second report in a week to find antibodies that can interfere with a range of strains of flu -- one of the hardest viruses to fight because it mutates so much.
"This is very exciting because it marks the first step toward the Holy Grail of influenza vaccinology -- the development of a durable and cross-protective universal influenza virus vaccine," Ian Wilson, a researcher at he Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California, who helped lead the research, said in a statement.
"Such a flu vaccine could be given to a person just once and act as a universal protectant for most subtypes of influenza, even against pandemic viruses."
On Sunday, another research team said they had found a batch of antibodies that do something similar.
Flu vaccines and drugs focus on proteins found on the surface of the flu virus called hemagglutinin and neuraminidase, which give influenza A viruses their names, as in H5N1 or H1N1.
Hemagglutinin is a lollipop-shaped structure with a big, round head. This head is so large that it attracts most of the immune system antibodies -- which then slip off when it mutates.
Because of the mutations, vaccines have to be reformulated every year and the viruses can develop resistance to antiviral drugs.
The antibodies found by Wilson's group and the U.S. team earlier this week attach to the "stick" of the hemagglutinin lollipop. This mutates less than the head, and so provides less of a moving target.
In both studies, the antibody suppressed a range of flu viruses, including H5N1 avian flu and the currently circulating H1N1 seasonal flu virus, although they did not work well against another seasonal flu virus called H3N2.
Wilson's team and Crucell Holland found their antibody, called CR6261, in the blood of people who had been vaccinated with the ordinary seasonal flu vaccine.
Similar antibodies have now also been found in other people, but it is not clear how well they protect people from flu or whether some people's bodies use them more efficiently than others.
Both groups said their antibodies provide a way to treat people infected with flu, as well as a route to designing better drugs and vaccines.
Wow, this site has all kinds of good stuff on it. I found it looking for a pic of a gamma ray burst, the furthest any human has seen into the universe.
Anyway, check out this article, published 3-2-09, before the swine was let out of the pen.
Resistance To Flu Drug Widespread In US
This season, nine children have died from influenza, most apparently healthy before they died of flu, the CDC reports.
Virtually all cases of the most common strain of flu circulating in the United States now resist the main drug used to treat it, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported on Monday.
CDC researchers said 98 percent of all flu samples from the H1N1 strain were resistant to Roche AG's Tamiflu, a pill that can both treat flu and prevent infection. Four patients infected with the resistant strain have died, including two children.
This year, H1N1 is the most common strain of flu in the United States, although the flu season is a mild one so far, and still below the levels considered an epidemic.
Few doctors even test patients for flu, and Tamiflu is not widely prescribed. But the news is sobering because the pill, known generically as oseltamivir, is one of the few weapons against influenza, which kills an estimated 36,000 people in the United States in an average year.
It is also considered a key weapon against a potential pandemic of a new type of influenza, and this study suggests the virus can rapidly evade its effects.
This season, nine children have died from influenza, most apparently healthy before they got infected, the CDC reports.
Last flu season, only 19 percent of H1N1 viruses tested were Tamiflu-resistant, Dr. Nila Dharan and colleagues at the CDC reported.
"As of February 19, 2009, resistance to oseltamivir had been identified among 264 of 268 (98.5 percent) U.S. influenza A(H1N1) viruses tested," the researchers wrote in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
YOUNG PATIENTS
They interviewed 99 patients and found 30 percent of them had been vaccinated against flu but became infected anyway. The vaccine is known not to fully protect against infection.
"Two patients died on the way to the hospital or in the emergency department. One patient was 4 years old and previously healthy, and one patient was 4 years old with neurological problems," Dharan's team wrote.
Dr. David Weinstock of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Dr. Gianna Zuccotti of Brigham and Women's Hospital, both in Boston, said the quick spread of Tamiflu-resistant flu had surprised doctors.
"Undoubtedly, new surprises await in the perpetual struggle with influenza as one thing is certain -- the organism will continue to evolve," they wrote.
"For now, the best tools to mitigate influenza infection are tried-and-true -- vaccination, social distancing, hand washing, and common sense."
GlaxoSmithKline, which makes the rival flu drug Relenza, said there was no indication influenza viruses were resistant to its drug. Relenza, known generically as zanamivir, is inhaled and is used even less commonly than Tamiflu.
Flu already resists two older drugs, rimantadine and amantadine. There is no indication the two other types of season flu now circulating, H3N2 and influenza B, resist the effects of Tamiflu and the CDC recommends using a cocktail of flu drugs in patients now.
"Hundreds of thousands of flu patients continue to be treated with Tamiflu this season," Roche said in a statement.
"Treatment with antivirals such as Tamiflu can lessen the duration and severity of illness and can help curb the spread of flu, especially in crowded settings like households, schools and nursing homes."

HEALTH
Measures In Asia Against Swine Flu
INDONESIA -- Temperature scanners installed at 10 airports and ports with immediate effect. At least 3 million Tamiflu capsules in stock.
Asia, a continent that has battled deadly viruses such as the H5N1 bird flu and SARS in recent years, has been taking steps to ward off the new swine flu virus.
Following are some details of how Asian countries are responding to the crisis:
JAPAN -- Central government has Tamiflu stockpile for about 22.5 million, and Relenza stockpile for about 2.68 million people, for combined stock which would cover nearly 20 percent of population. Local governments have own stockpiles but figures not available. Checking passengers from Mexico, Canada and the United States at international airports.
SOUTH KOREA -- Tamiflu stockpile for 2.5 million people and is working to increase that to 10 percent of population of about 49 million.
AUSTRALIA -- Enough anti-viral drugs stockpiled to cover around 41 percent of 21 million population. Australia has stockpiled 8.7 million doses of Tamiflu and Relenza drugs. Large stores of surgical masks.
NEW ZEALAND -- Public health officials say "ample stocks" of anti-flu drugs. NZ built up stockpile after bird flu scare sufficient to cover between 25-30 percent of the 4.3 million population. New Zealand has raised the level of its national pandemic plan and is screening all flights from North America.
HONG KONG -- Media reports that Hong Kong authorities have 20 million doses of Tamiflu and other anti-flu medication. Steps up port health protection measures, and sets up temperature screening machines at all checkpoints.
TAIWAN -- Current supplies of swine flu treatment to cover 10 percent of Taiwan's 23 million population. More than one million facemasks for emergency use.
MALAYSIA - Tamiflu stockpile covering more than 2 million of the 27-million strong population. Does not have stockpile of personnel protection equipment such as face masks for general population yet, but has a supply for health staff who will be dealing with crisis.
THAILAND - Government has 320,000 sets of Tamiflu stockpiled. GPO, state-owned drug maker, can produce one million capsules of generic Tamiflu if needed. Temperature screening checkpoints at international airports in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket.
PHILIPPINES -- Govt says sufficient face masks and Tamiflu. Surveillance and other measures stepped up at entry points. Thermal scanning of all arriving passengers from countries with reported swine flu cases.
CHINA -- A Chinese health official said a reported outbreak of flu in a school in northwest China was not swine flu and had been identified as Type-B influenza. Chinese authorities tell hospitals to swiftly report any suspected cases of swine flu, and the official press is vowing fast public disclosure of any cases.
VIETNAM -- Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's largest city of more than 8 million people, has stocks of Tamiflu enough for 1 million people.
SINGAPORE -- Thermal scanners at airport and isolation units at hospitals, where staff at some emergency departments are wearing full protective clothing.
BANGLADESH - Travellers, particularly those coming from countries already hit by recent outbreak, to be screened.
INDONESIA -- Temperature scanners installed at 10 airports and ports with immediate effect. At least 3 million Tamiflu capsules in stock.
INDIA -- Has stockpiled one million Tamiflu doses which cover more than 142,000 people. Government has requested another one million doses which it expects to receive within 7-10 days. Government to step up surveillance at international airports and ports.
ASEAN -- Has 500,000 courses of antivirals stockpiled in Singapore and another 500,000 distributed among ASEAN member states. ASEAN also has stockpile of personal protective equipment but it did not give details.

The first thing that made me say this is a lab created virus is the fact that is reportedly attacks people with trong immune systems. Do not take immunity boosting herbs like echinacea? WTF?

Wrong. Dont spread mis-info
Cytokine "storm" is the killer here, caused by the flu. Echinacea has been shown to be a cytokine moderator and NONE of its immune boosting properties are attributed to cytokine production or inflammatory antibodies.

Re: Swine Flu Created in Lab as Bio-Weapon? The smoking gun?
I can promise you that three missing tubes of virus from a lab didn't do this. America has no ability to weaponize anything.
For confirmation of what I'm saying, read "Biohazard" by Dr. Ken Alibek.
He is a scientist who defected from the USSR who was directly responsible for half of their germ warfare program. He had over 30,000 people working for him. There were over 60,000 people working full time in the USSR on producing this stuff. This particular doctor is responsible for weaponizing anthrax.
He defected to the U.S. in the mid 1990s because he found the U.S. HAD NO PROGRAM WHATSOEVER. He'd justified creating lethal organisms because he'd been told by the Russian government we had superior stuff and he was protecting Russia.
He came here on a treaty verification trip and saw that we had absolutely nothing. We literally had sample vials of stuff but no defensive or offensive weapons program at all. Dr. Alibek couldn't live with himself knowing the horrendous stuff he'd created. They would take ebola and marry it with anthrax. They produced VATS of anthrax each year. He gave up a cushy life there to come and warn us of the very real threats we're facing.
His Congressional testimony is on the internet. It took the CIA one year to debrief him he knew that much.
The book is a terrifying but important read for a true insider's view of what's ahead for us.
