Why would god want to wipe EVERYBODY AND EVERYTHING out except for a 500 year old random guy? How the fuck did noah live to be 500 years old? And do you realize this 500 year old man travelled around the world and get every species of animal? The earth is about 25,000 miles around.. Thats a pretty big fuckin project for a 500 year old man.. How did he get across the ocean? AND didnt noah realize that its not a good idea to put lions and deer in the same boat?

It wasnt one mega flood. Each region had his own little flood and each civilization talked about it and gave to it a different name. Basically something like Bangladesh has each year. Totally natural imo |

When our mind, which is limited reasons it can not understand beyond the literal part of things. Of course is impossible to flood the whole planet. Noah's story a allegoric. There many difefrent stories about the flood.

It was just one continent that was flooded, and it is at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean now. The refugees were many more than just Noah, he was symbolic of the many ships that were launched because of warnings the people received. And the refugee ships were driven by winds in different directions, they landed in different lands, and told and retold the story of the Great Flood to their descendents. |

11,600 years ago, an asteroid struck the Atlantic Fault line just south of the continent of Atlantis. This penetrated the eart's crust and split the fault up either side of the continent of Atlantis. Also accounts fro Mammoths found frozen with green grass and buttercups in their stomachs.
The muddy steam from the oceam encircled the world as the larger part of the Atlantic ocean fell back down as muddy rain from the sky. People far from the impact had no idea what had happened. people close to the impact were killed by the blast wave. A huge hole still exists in the ocean in this area today. Also, elliptical lakes are found all across the Carolina states , oriented in the same direction... these are from secondary impactors that broke away from the main object... these are called the Carolina bays.
The flood was real, it was a real flood. This is why you find wood chunks 60 feet deep when you drill a well in Ohio today... because the muddy rain left deposits that deep. The volcanic clay is also all over Arkansas and is dug up today as a commodity... it is called Bentonite clay. You will not find a single fossil in the midst of this clay as it was all laid down in a few days... the fossils are UNDERNEATH it.

For those who would like some real scientific info on the global flood, there is a scholarly work entitled: Cataclysm: Compelling Evidence of a Cosmic Catastrophe in 9500 B.C. Written by a geologist and a paleogeographer, it catalogs the crustal shifting, the tilting of the Earth's axis, mass extinctions, upthrusting of mountain ranges, rising and falling landmasses and the incredible tidal waves that washed across the continents.
With all this scientific information pointing to that time, they conclude that only a large planetary body could have caused such calamity on the Earth. They call it Phaeton or Typhon but here at GLP, we'd call it Nibiru.
This is a multi-disciplinary study, incorporating geology, biology and climatological evidence. And this is also the time period of the frozen Siberian mammoths.
I personally believe the Bible and this scholarly work, reinforces my belief in the Bible. That Noah lived over 900 years is not surprising if you know that the Earth and its atmosphere was much different then. The atmospheric pressure was higher and the oxygen content was about 39%, compared to about 21%, presently. It's the reason that huge dinosaurs could roam the Earth then and why they can't now. The present atmosphere can only support a land animal the size of an elephant.
There were some before/after changes noted in the Bible. Some apocryphal books say that the animals came to the Ark of Noah, at the proper time, so that Noah wasn't involved in a roundup. There was no eating of animal meat before the flood, afterward, there was. Animals weren't hostile to each other, either. Also, Noah's grape juice made him drunk after the flood, whereas before, the atmospheric pressure didn't permit fermentation.
There was no rain during the time between Adam and Noah; "rain" was provided by a mist that came up from the ground. There was a water canopy surrounding the Earth, described in Genesis 1:7, saying the firmament (atmosphere) separated the waters above it and below it. I think the waters above were an ice canopy and the rain that came down for Noah's flood, was the melting of the ice canopy, which kept the atmosphere compressed. As it melted, the atmospheric pressure decreased. But the predominance of the flood waters were provided by the fountains of the deep, inside the Earth.
Anyway, all those who claim that certain things in the Bible are scientifically impossible, don't know much about science or the Bible. Science and the Bible are perfectly compatible as long as the science is honest, which rarely happens, nowadays.
Also, Noah wasn't a "random guy", if you bothered to read about it. His was the only lineage that wasn't corrupted by the fallen angels; it's why he was "perfect in his generations [genealogy]".
I'm really grateful for people like the OP, who have one thumb in their ass and the other in their mouth and speak evil of dignities. No middle ground. |

I think it was the creation of the strait of Gibraltar that did it. So there was a very narrow land mass there holding back a lot of water. It finally eroded away and the water rushed in (it acted like a failed dam) flooding the entire Mediterranean area, where lots of people lived at the time and it was completely a dry area.
At least that's my personal theory. |
