Book Review by Richard G. Allen.
A must reading for anyone wishing to understand the history of the solar system, the earth, and our civilization, is the book by two English scientists, D.S. Allan and J. B. Delair. It is called, When the Earth Nearly Died. This book is a scientific treatment of an event that occurred approximately eleven thousand years ago that very nearly destroyed the earth and it's inhabitants.
This event changed the earth's enviroments entirely. It also affected other planets and their satellites, changing their rotations, orbits, and atmospheres. Our earth is still recovering from it's effect. Apparently Mars did not recover from this event. The last comment is a conclusion that I have drawn, as the book does not purport to draw this conclusion.
The book, however, gives compelling evidence of a world wide, and solar system wide catastrophic disaster that almost wiped out every living thing on earth. These two scientists give strong evidence that debris from an exploding star, a nova, intersected our solar system about eleven thousand years ago. For those of us who are puzzled as to what happened to the fabled Atlantis, and the civilizations that built the pryamids at Giza, and the structures on Mars and the moon, this book may answer that question. |

Its scientifically impossible for the earth to be completely under water. period.
Why would god want to wipe EVERYBODY AND EVERYTHING out except for a 500 year old random guy? How the fuck did noah live to be 500 years old? And do you realize this 500 year old man travelled around the world and get every species of animal? The earth is about 25,000 miles around.. Thats a pretty big fuckin project for a 500 year old man.. How did he get across the ocean? AND didnt noah realize that its not a good idea to put lions and deer in the same boat?
the story of noah and the ark is complete bullshit.. how religious people actually believe it really went down, is beyond me. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 391355
noone ever said the entire world was flooded
theres alot of wather on earth and like the tides...floods can be possible aswell
if gravity/magnetism changes because of the sun for instance it would be possible for all the water to move from the ocean onto the land...leaving the land flooded and the oceans almost empty...
think of it like the tides only times 100...(remember thatgreat flood a couple of years ago? that times 10)
the story about noah and all is just that
a story...wich lives on...its message being? that something like this happens every once in a while (100s maybe 1000s of years |

Actually..... If you read your bible some of those questions are answered.
1. The animals came to Noah, Noah didn't have to hunt them down.
2. Animals did not eat meat in those days, nor did humans. After the flood humans and animals began to eat meat.
3. Mathematically speaking the ark was large enough to hold the animals as mentioned (7 clean, 2 unclean) creeping and crawling ones. Further none of the animals had to be adults. Thus you had young elephants who would mature and grow up later to have offspring of their own. Lion cubs (which would be a wee bit more tame then their parents). Baby elephants are 'slightly' smaller than their parents and require far less food.
According to the story Noah labored for 100 years to build the ark. Even the Sloth (now residing in South America) could have made the long journey halfway around the world with lots of time to spare (nearly 25 years) at its slow pace. You find the MPH a sloth travels, you do the math.
4. We have no idea what the real limits of human aging are. We now know the causes and have theorized that in a denser atmosphere, with slightly modified environmental factors a human being can live to at least 120 years of age WITHOUT modern medicine.
Since many people have reached their 120th year and a little more and were fully functional it is really not to far of a stretch that humans could have lived hundreds of years at one time. While we have no proof, it is not beyond possibility.
The whole earth can scientifically flood. It is possible, we have no evidence of such a flood, but it is possible.
I'm not saying that the flood did happen, or that a man named Noah really existed.
What I am saying is that your basis for 'denial' of this story is wrong.
Critical thinking is a two way street. While you may think its just a matter to find proof against a thing, it is also a process to find proof of a thing then based on both proofs reach a final conclusion.
The final conclusion on this one is that while there is strong evidence for regional massive floods (like the Scablands: [link to en.wikipedia.org] ) the whole earth would look like that area does today, since the earth is not like that we must conclude that no global flood took place. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 628461 5/8/2009 8:27 AM | | Re: How Did The Entire Earth Flood During The Time of Noah??? | Quote | In the book It's All About Control - The God, Jesus, & ET Coverup Conspiracy, Tony Stubbs gives a more realistic account of the flood and the alien/human hybrid Noah...
Eventually, the ancient legends tell us, the population of humans became so numerous and troublesome that En-Lil began to regret making them so advanced. At the end of the last Ice Age, during the Nibiru visit in 10800 BCE, he predicted that Nibiru would come very close to Earth, and that the gravitational pull of the huge planet would trigger seismic and volcanic disasters, major weather disturbances, and could cause the Antarctic ice-shelf to slide off its rocky base, crash into the ocean and create a huge planet-wide tsunami. Seeing a way to purge the Earth of its pesky
humans, En-lil intended to allow it, without warning them.
En-ki, on the other hand, was more sympathetic to his genetic creations and spilled the beans to Noah, a hybrid son he’d conceived with a human female, which allowed several of his humans to escape to high ground in boats, carrying the DNA of each animal species with them (the Noah legend). When the ice-shelf did break off, the resulting tsunami funneled up the Persian Gulf, wiping out much of the life in the Middle East. Elsewhere, it resulted in the destruction of Atlantis and raised 2 Many biblical scholars dispute that actual animals were taken into the Ark, and
reason that only the DNA for each species was saved.. sea levels by up to 500 feet. This gave birth to the legends of the flood that are found in every ancient body of knowledge on the planet. The ETs, of course, watched the disaster from the safety of their spacecraft. “The Earth began to shake, by a force before unknown it was agitated … In the Whiteland at Earth’s bottom, the Earth’s foundations were shaking … Then with a roar to a thousand thunders equal, off its foundations the ice sheet slipped … By Nibiru’s unseen force into the south sea crashing … One sheet of ice into another ice sheet was smashing …The Whiteland’s surface like a broken eggshell was crumbling … Tidal waves arose, the very skies was the wall of water reaching … Northward was the wall of water onrushing … The Abzu land it was reaching … Towards the settled land it travelled …
The Edin it overwhelmed.
En-ki’s half-sister, who had helped him create humans lamented, “My created like drowned dragonflies in a pond the waters fill, all life by the rolling sea wave away was taken.”The Deluge account from the Sumerian tablets solves the dilemma of why ‘God’ created man, then allowed most of them to die, and then relented in Noah’s case. In fact, we’re talking about two different ‘gods’ who were at bitter odds regarding humans. |

yes. amazing that no one has mentioned the ice age. it was miles thick and covered continents. and then it warmed, there was ice dams that burst that flooded inland areas, there were hufe chunks that caused tsunamis, the land itself was pressed lower and is still springing back,,
and yes every culture old enough has creation myths that talk of the great flood...
the details may be allegory or distorted beyond comprehension, the date and cause may be debatable, but the fact that there was a worldwide cataclysmic flood is beyond doubt... |

It was just one continent that was flooded, and it is at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean now. The refugees were many more than just Noah, he was symbolic of the many ships that were launched because of warnings the people received. And the refugee ships were driven by winds in different directions, they landed in different lands, and told and retold the story of the Great Flood to their descendents. Exactly.
C'mon, be logical for a moment.
I know the bible says, "and the flood was upon all the earth" or something to that effect.
But the person writing that - he didn't have access to satellite images and airplanes and the internet.
What he did was look out in every direction from where he was standing, or floating, and as far as HIS eye could see there was NOTHING BUT WATER.
Hence, "all the earth" that he was capable of seeing in his immediate surroundings was under water.
It's really that simple. Quoting: Noah way, Jose 576524

Your problem is - you are repeating a story you THINK you know but do not. Try reading the Bible and maybe you will learn the real story of Noah.
And the above poster is right - the flood did not cover the whole earth - only the part that needed cleansing.
