How come no posts about the anti-American & anti-free speech 'Hate Crimes' bill that just passed the house?

Let me make sure I have this right:

If I beat a Mexican guy up, I get six months in the county jail.

If I beat a Mexican guy up while thinking he's a dirty wetback, I get five years in prison.

Six months for doing the wrong thing, and four and a half years for thinking the wrong thing.

Sounds like a real plan to me!

I posted about it yesterday and it flew off the front page in seconds. dumb sheep are so easily controlled. While they are distracted by this flu crap the criminals in Washington are passing new laws that will take even more freedoms away from them.

Its much worse than that. This bill is not like the ones that failed 5 times before. This one is a Hate crimes bill on Steroids.

In this bill you can be sent to prison if they can prove that a person committed a crime when they listened to you. Like if a guy goes nuts and kills a bunch of people they can say that that person did it because of something they heard Alex Jones said. Alex Jones goes to jail.

In this bill they protect people because of their sexual preferences. so now all deviants, sodomites, perverts, child molesters are federally protected groups. That means if you are a Christian and quote things from the bible then you are guilty of Hate speech. Say goodbye to the Christian Religion. The only Christians you will see in the future are zionized Christians.

I doubt if this bill protects "child molesters", regardless of whether they're homosexual or heterosexual.
However, I'd like some more information. Can you provide a link to the bill which was just passed today? The only thing I can find is HB1592, which is two years old.

Now your citation says that "sexual orientation" is generally accepted as defined thusly (again, these are your citations, not mine:

I do not like the idea of "hate crimes" legislation, because I think it allows the State to punish a person for his thoughts. I think that if anyone beats up a straight kid, you should lock his ass up. I think if anyone beats up a gay kid, you should lock his ass up, too.

But even though I am a straight male with two straight adult children, I do not believe that what consenting homosexuals do should be made illegal.

Putting "child molesters" in with homosexuals or lesbians or even pee-pee fetishists is simply wrong. What homosexuals do may not be what you or i approve of, but they're not hurting each other. Child molesters, whether gay or straight, are bad people who need to be put away or euthanized. They are not the same as homosexuals.

Trying to stop a homosexual-rights bill -- even though we both think it is a bad bill -- by bringing child molesters into it, as you seem to be doing, is dishonest.

Well, I still like the idea of giving the judge and jury some leeway; in some cases a person may be driven to a violent crime by some egregious reason (like seeing his child raped or molested, for example).

On the other hand, if we were to punish crimes against gays, blacks, or any "unpopular" group with the same energy that we were to punish crimes against little old ladies or boy scouts -- in other, words if our system of punishment were fair -- we wouldn't need any of this crappy "hate crimes" legislation.

How can this bill protect pedobears?

Please follow the link to HR1913 and in the second paragraph under 'Executive Summary' you will see a link directly from HR1913 to 'Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders IV'

There are three sub-headings under 'Sexual and gender identity disorder' which are all considered definitions for HR1913.

Look for 302.2 under the second sub-heading and you will see that it specifically mentions pedophilia.

The second (2nd) sub heading contains 302.2

Perhaps you are only looking at the third sub-heading that is 'Gender identity disorders' which means you are leaving out the first two sub headings under the main heading for that section called 'Sexual and gender identity disorder.'

The bill (HR1913) includes ALL sub-headings under 'Sexual and gender identity disorder.'

There are three sub-headings, not only the one you are looking at that is labeled 'Gender identity disorders'.

Look, if you cannot see 302.2, I do not know what to tell you.

It is there as plain as day.

And, if you do not believe that all 3 sub headings are attached to HR1913, then I suggest you do some more research and you will find out that they are all under HR1913 for a fact.
