Looks scary from the ground (200 foot vertical drop) but it was built by master coaster engineers and the whole ride, even the drop, feels like human flight. There are several "dive machine" coasters around the world and if you like coasters you owe it to yourself to try one. [link to www.buschgardens.com] |

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 670744 Switzerland 05/03/2009 11:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Finally, guests are seated in harnesses within a circular chamber surrounding an enormous plastic cylinder - the "teleportation tube." a towering winged, carnivorous alien is beamed into the tube by mistake. The creature quickly escapes A power outage then plunges the chamber into total darkness as guests sit helplessly restrained in their seats. During the portions of the attraction that take place in darkness, binaural sound effects suggest that the alien is moving through the chamber, menacing the guests and even devours a maintenance man. In-seat vibration, air-blasts and other effects contribute to the illusion, with the alien appearing to be breathing and at one point licking the guests. "Blood" spattering in the dark is simulated by the spraying of water. Among other spine-tingling highlights during the encounter is a scene whereas cast members shine flashlights over the guests to ask if they are alright, only to be "ripped apart, limb-from-limb, and eaten" by the alien, using the marvellous technology of sound effects. With assistance from the two X-S Tech technicians, the ravenous alien is ultimately driven back into the broken teleportation device and destroyed. Guests are then released from their seats. Truly awesome the first time through. |

Quoting: refugee13Are you talking about 'drop zone'? There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. |
BRIEF AND TO THE POINT User ID: 667728 United States 05/03/2009 12:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | When I was in Vegas they had a coaster that went around the the top of the Stratosphere and another ride that slings you up and you free fall back down. I did each only once. Never again. Poor people do poor people things, and rich people do rich people things. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it! when you rob Paul to give to Peter ... ... ... you will always get Peters support! :Brieffromnativea: |

My last scary ride was Tower of Terror at Disney World After the elevator moves in to the shaft, the randomly-selected drop sequence begins. Rather than a simple gravity-powered drop, however, the elevator is pulled downwards, causing most riders to rise off their seats, held down only by a seat-belt. At least once during the drop sequence, doors in front of the riders will open to reveal a view of the park from a height of about 170 feet.. |

I went to the North Georgia State Fair in 2012 and I rode the X-Factory. It went so fast that when I descended, it made my stomach turn something fierce, and it made my ears pop as if I were descending in a fast elevator. That was unquestionably the scariest ride I have ever ridden in my whole life. After I got off X-Factory, I swore that I would never get on it again. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 56792356 United States 04/13/2014 09:23 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Pirate Ship can be scary, but it depends on which bench you sit on. If you sit on the middle bench it's not as scary as if you sit way in the back. If you do sit way in the back, when the boat reaches its highest point, you feel as if you're gonna fall out of your seat. Another thing that makes this ride so scary is that it really makes you sick! |

I went on it when my son could just barely fit in the seat belt- he was 3. I spent the whole ride thinking he as going to fall out and keeping both of my hands on him- which meant I was completely just hanging by the belt. I will never, ever, ride that again. |
