Glad you got better OP. Maybe some of the stuff you did at the beginning minimized it?

That fever can get very high and cause electrolyte imbalance, 'specially if someone cannot keep fluids down.
(one reason to go to the ER unless you can hang an IV at home.)

My flu was a little worse, but I survived also. I warned everyone too. The person that I caught it from was someone that I did not even have contact with. Someone in my family was at their house when they came down with it and a week later i got it.
