step 1. Buy an apple.
step 2. rinse in clean water.
step 3. eat and enjoy.

Dispose of the seeds and core anywhere you want, or you can even eat them.

Variation: put apple slices and cheddar cheese cubes on a plate, bite of apple, bite of cheese ....repeat

Imitation Crab Linguine

1 Box linguine, boiled.

1 package imitation crab chunks, lightly fried in butter.

Melt down a little more butter in there when you have the crab nice.

Toss with lemon pepper and a little garlic powder.

You might also try adding some chopped up pan fried onion. Or some reconstituted dried soup greens, or a Lipton veggie dip packet, or even some veggie boullion.

Could add chopped clams too probably if you have some around.
When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature say, "Come!" I looked, and there before me was a black horse! Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand.

Then I heard what sounded like a voice among the four living creatures, saying, "A quart of wheat for a day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!"

Veggies a little bland?

Try adding a sprinkle of sugar and butter to the corn. (Not technically a veggie though of course.)

Bag of baby carrots. Pan fry in butter, then add some sugar and honey as the carrots begin to soften a bit. You want to get them browned at least on one side, but be careful not to burn. You might want to add some water at first to get them softened a little. Might have to try it a few times to get the timing right for your preferred doneness. Don't want them too crunchy or too mushy.

Bag of frozen Italian Green Beans (or regular if you can't get these.) Heat them up in a pan along with some Kraft Sun Dried Tomato dressing.

5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug (MicroSafe)

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly.
Pour in the milk and oil and mix well...
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.

And why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world?
Because now we are all only 5 minutes away from chocolate cake at any time of the day or night!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 676374

Ok, just tried this. SO easy and delicious!! Dangerous, indeed.

DUMP CAKE

1 large can of cherry pie filling (can use whatever fruit pie filling you'd like---I like the cherry for this)
1 large can of crushed pineapple
1 yellow cake mix
1 cup chopped pecans (any nut will do--or leave out for those that don't enjoy nuts)
1 stick of butter (melted)

in a 13 x 9 pan (give it a shot of pam non stick spray)

layer the following in this order:

crushed pineapple--juice and all
cherry pie filling (after this stir the pineapple and cherry around a bit--not much just a little)
Next layer DRY cake mix on top of fruits
Next sprinkle chopped pecans
Next drizzle melted butter all over top

Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 mins.......depending on your oven, just make sure that you don't burn the top. ENJOY!

Guest post from my boyfriend:

Rockem Smashem spuds and carrots

A few potatoes

A few carrots

Boil these until cooked

Before mashing the potatoes and carrots together put in a bit of milk, butter, crushed garlic, half a cup of cream cheese.

Mash these together.

Throw a bit of parsley flakes on top to finish it off.

That's it.

------------------------------------------------

He peels the potatoes and carrots.

It's very good. You probably need a potato masher to have it come out right. I finally acquired one after living 25 years without one. (the boyfriend just quipped that it is him)

My children wanted these for church parties, spend the nights, and company over. SO here goes...
One stick of butter melted, with 1 cup of brown sugar, and one cup of crushed pecans. Line a baking pan with Graham crackers and pour the mixture over them. Put into oven at 350 and bake until the mixture is settled. Cool and enjoy! I promise these will not last long.

Fast Lentil Soup

Clean one cup lentils

in a large saucepan

add 3 or 4 cups of water

bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes

add:

2 carrots, grated
3 - 4 celery stalks, chopped fine

some chopped green onion is good too.

Season with sea salt, oregano, thyme, pepper.

Cook about 7 minutes

add spinach, preferably the kind that comes frozen loose in a bag, otherwise chopped fresh spinach. The kind that comes frozen in a block would be okay if you thaw it first I guess. I don't use that kind.

Cook a few minutes more til spinach is done. Doesn't take long

Edited to add: Forgot to add a can of diced tomatoes, at the end of cooking time!

Add pressed garlic before serving, maybe some olive oil, cayenne, and lots of lemon juice, lemon juice is the key.

it is better the next day too when the flavors have had a chance to blend.

Another easy one: Crescent rolls, unroll, divide and make the triangles,, place on a cookie sheet, cover with mayonnaise or butter, open can of asparagus and put three or four on each triangle, cover with Swiss chess, leave in the opened roll position, cook until the crescents are done and the cheese is melted. This is so good and easy.

You'll still want some sort of sugar to thicken up the glaze a little. Let the carrots brown just a bit for a smoky flavor, but be careful not to burn. Keep em moving once the glaze starts to set.

Re: Post your Easy Recipes Here !
Honey Granola

3 cups dry oatmeal
1/2 cup margarine (1 stick)(I use butter)
1/2 cup honey
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup each nuts and dried fruit (optional)

Melt the margarine in a 3-quart saucepan over medium heat.

Add the honey and salt.

Heat the honey briefly with the margarine and then add the oatmeal. Stir it up nicely.

Turn the mixture onto an ungreased cookie sheet, the kind with shallow sides; a large 9 by 13-inch pan works well too.

Spread the granola out evenly and bake it at 375° for 10 minutes. It should be a toasty brown. Now remove it from the oven and allow it to cool and crisp up right there in the pan. Store it in a clean coffee can or sealed canister. Add the nuts and dried fruit, if you are using them, when the granola is cool.

(I use my dehydrator, then add the nuts and dried fruit after it's done. Cranberries and/or cherries are really good in it. Good sprinkled over yogurt too.)
