SINK HOLE.........MEXICO CITY.....TODAY
A NEW sink hole has opening in downtown area of Mexico City today......it is 110 feet deep and a c ity block wide....buildings fell into the hole and more are threatened..... city workers are advising everyone to stay away from the big sink hole as the ground around it is very soft and most likely will expand....

All: this place is built on top of a lakebed, sinkholes are as much a part of life as wobbly jello-like earthquakes.

The Spanish news always reports on all the sink holes out on the west coast here that have been opening up in the last couple of years.....but you sure do NOT hear about them on the american news outlets......NOW DO WE?
