Second, as all of you know, the H5N1 avian influenza virus is endemic in poultry in some parts of the world. It is out there, entrenched. No one can predict how the H5N1 virus will behave under the pressure of a pandemic. As I said, we are meeting at a time of crisis that could have global implications. What the world needs most, right now, urgently, is information at all possible levels."  |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 657385  Canada05/15/2009 08:19 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My names Friday, and I drive a bread truck, and lately here I have been seeing a whole bunch of Hollywood type trailers, down the entire block, with two mobile power units and one security guard on a lawn chair, but no people, and they look empty. There are 4 blocks of these things in different parts here downtown Victoria BC. And they are all white and brand spanking new. And under normal circumstances, you would think that someone was shooting a movie, except there is no one shooting any movie. So I ask around on my route ask a city worker, he says oh thats nothing, they are shooting a movie, I ask oh, what movie? I dunno. So I ask a cabbie if he knows what movie, nope. Any time in the past, if there was a major motion picture filming here every9one knows all about it. I don't think they are filming a movie. I think they are stationed around the city, for pandemic readiness. And they are stationed outside large buildings, like a high school, which could be transformed into an infirmary, and St. Anne's Academy, an old nunnery. I think, and this is what a guy who works at one of the hotels I visit on my route, we think they are full of hazmat suits and body bags! |
