Sure the people who have recorded Planet X Nibiru with the new infra red telescope on the South Pole, know also the entire story about Gliese and the like habitable planets. It is not a coincidence to discover a third planet within the possible habitable zone in the same system (the habitable zone is constantly fixed, not 100% sure).

They know where to search for! I wouldn't be surprised if they have collected a lot of signals, and keep them secret. The way they keep UFO files secret. One may say - they have discovered most of that years ago, even decades ago, and now give us pieces, because now the time of the official first contacts has arrived.

Dr. Kaku already declared - within a year the ETs would be discovered! Of course Dr Michio Kaku is not just a crazy professor or someone who has no other things to do but to post youtube videos. He plays according to these same rules!

This is actually not a bad candidate.

And finding a technologically advanced civilisation only 20 lightyears away would mean that those are very common.

Maybe the Rare Earthers are right but Earth itself is the odd one out, life on planets orbiting red dwarfs being far more likely.
Red dwarfs are far more common then sun-like stars.
And they last forever.

Time to give that star a proper name of its own.

Gliese 581 e (pronounced /ˈɡliːzə/) or Gl 581 e is the fourth extrasolar planet found around Gliese 581, an M3V red dwarf star approximately 20.5 light-years away from Earth in the constellation of Libra.

The planet was discovered by an Observatory of Geneva team lead by Michel Mayor, using the HARPS instrument on the European Southern Observatory 3.6 m (140 in) telescope in La Silla, Chile. I got curious about how many laser like signals have been detected in the past. This might be the only one, but the person who discovered it sounds like he is not sure if it is a glitch or not.

I got an idea, why not send a laser signal back to the location the signal originated at? If we receive another one after that, it might be safe to say we have detected intelligent life.
