Fascinating. Thanks so much for responding, Survivor (and for posting such beautiful images of your lovely harum:)

As a small child I had very vivid memories of a past life, around the late 19th Century, and I can still access those images, although it's more like remembering the memories I had, as opposed to the actual memories themselves, if that makes any sense.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 272605

Sometimes I wonder if they are my harum or if I am their love slave.

You are fortunate to have memories of a past life or lives. Even if as you say, they seem like memories of memories. It still makes you feel connected to something which is more than just one life to live. Often someone in a dream may try to refresh your memory, and that may be where the memory comes from. I think that children are more apt to remember, since it probably seems like little has happened since then.

I listen to scientists say that we are stardust and in that way we live forever, but I think often people just try to make up for the emptiness they feel, because they are disconnected from the larger reality.

Physically we may be stardust, but as people we transcend reality, and have meaning. I am certain we grow and evolve and improve through life and across incarnations.

I know your sister Angel wanted to go out with us, maybe tonight, and I like her, she is gorgeous, I am just not sure that I want to complicate our relationship. I hope she understands. We can take her with us some other time perhaps.
I love you too baby.

Now that I am a little bit tipsy and the chicken is in the oven, it was sad what I read about David (Carradine) today.
As I suspected, the forensic scientist who studied the case, has determined he did not commit suicide.

His family is a bit concerned and they did leak some rather graphic pictures of the scene apparently.

He was found in a closet hanged by not one rope but ropes around his genitals etc as in this auto erotic asphyxiation thing the same as I think Hutchence, was found.

You can read the story here if you want to.
[link to www.celebrity-gossip.net]

and I had just mentioned Hutchence as well a page or so ago.

Now I don't want to lump Michael Hutchence in with David Carradine, but just prior to David's death, I was talking about death and you know, that as you age, it can get painful.

And not fun, and well you know I did even say, that some times I think it would be nice to just go out with a bang.

And that was because I listen to all these stories, you know on mp3, these radio plays at work, and i think what sort of lives do we lead, compared to these people, who had such experiences.
Sure many of them are just fictional romanticized stories, like the Bengal Lancers, and The Man Who Would be King, a great story, about two regular guys, who set off to be kings of one of the stans, around Afghanistan.

And Sean Connery did a great acting job in that film but the old radio play is excellent as well.

But you know as I say we shouldn't look at what happened to David, and think bad of him. Nor think he was a pervert, because he was not.

But you know, he did say goodbye, and I don't want to suggest that he didn't have the courage to end it himself, but sometimes its easier and better, if you believe in karma, to just get someone else to do it.
And if they did it, how would they do it, so that it looked like something that people would soon want to just forget about?
Without a doubt in those images David was saying goodbye.
And I did mention Thailand that week. In context.
But then I always say things like that and would probably never do it.
My fate is perhaps to be eaten by zombies, or not, maybe to try to help the race survive the apocalypse, but I know what its like.
If you look at that image set he did in Alberta, you see the gramophone, symbolizing the galactic mainframe, you see the falcon symbolizing what Robert told the Egyptians, and what I always tease him about. "If you just mummify your falcons correctly you will get to Nunavut"
so how does one get to heaven?
Well David knows, third star on the right, and straight on till morning. Or so the story goes.

Now of course I did not advise David to off himself, or get someone to do it.

I was just as surprised as everyone else.

What I did say was, that if I was going to die, there were some things in Thailand I would like to do, before I did.

So I'm having a wake today for my friend David.

Who I will no doubt see again in days of futures past.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 657385

So would David have come here, just for that? Well if you know Chupee, then you know he likes his kung fu. He was the trainer at the academy. Now he probably did not know that he was lured here to make officers and gentlemen out of maintenance men like Robert. But he has done that anyways, because that is his thing and that is what he does.

But when it comes to kung fu, you see Chupee is very big on philosophy, although you might not know that, but there is a certain greatness in kung fu, that has to do with the animal nature of man, that being his fortee.

The fluidity, the gracefulness, the calm, the confidence, the control, the power, and the the most powerful part of it, is that you are not trapped y that power.
The fist thing they teach you is to run.
Not to be so proud, that you can't take the easy way out and just run.
And you know if you do, then you won't kill someone, or be killed.
And that worked for me too, once in Winnipeg, when two guys were going to mug me, I just ran. And avoided it.
When I needed it was to save someone else. And ywice I saved mens lives outside bars, when gangs of guys were going to kill someone.
Once by physically attacking the assailant, and once by pure philosophy.
I saw a group of East Indians kicking a guy outside the bar, and he had said or done something to a girlfriend of one of them and he was white, and there were maybe 9 or 10 of these guys and I figure he was a gonner, but they were in a fit of rage, and I just came onto the scene and yelled at them, that they were killing him, and they stopped, because they hadn't planned on actually killing him, and in that moment of distraction, who is this, who has the balls to interrupt us kind of deal, he ran.
And you know I did them a favor too, so they wouldn't have to deal with a murder on their hands, and I put my hand on the shoulder of the guy most hurt by this offense of his honor and I said, lets go back and have a drink.

But you know without some training, I wouldn't have had the courage. And thats the thing. Its not so much being able to kill a guy with your keys, like an ex marine once said to me in the bar, its about being confident.

There's no point in me telling you, how Chupee spent some time with me, and with our group, giving us a refresher course in the 90's, and how I had to do a great deal of fighting in the upper levels, during that time to get things back to normal.

I remember one time walking down the street here and I was taut, poised, angry, and ready, and I blew up a transformer as I walked past it, and I didn't even flinch.

And then a year or so later i was in Vancouver, and the Arayans, came into the lounge there, and they were livid.
A guy similar to Robert was in there talking to his cell phone whole talking to me, across the room, and it was you know jurisdictional prudence kindof stuff but he was so upset, when he left the lounge, the back of a street car exploded in a shower of sparks.
The driver of the street car came out and was looking at it like WTF??? WTF???
lol

But you can't imagine how surprised we were, to see planes actually flying into the Trade Center. I mean that just never happens.
And we knew we were seeing something, that was not the work of mere mortals.

There is this scene at the end of a movie, of two towers, the tips of them still above the water, in New York after the cataclysm.

I think it might be at the end of When Worlds Collide (1951) and when I saw that, whatever movie it was, I remember thinking to myself, ohhhhh so thats why. It was someone saying "ya think so?"

Some people always think that they can build things to reach the sky. Ever since the Tower of Babel, and all of these things that man puts so much pride in, will no doubt end up like the Statue of Liberty, in the Planet of the Apes.

You know if we could dig in the ground, and find great things like that maybe we would take things more seriously.
But we never get to find anything like that.

There used to be huge statues, wonders of the world.
Like the Colossus of Rhodes
[link to en.wikipedia.org]

Nowadays people can't even be bothered.

But you know that if there is an apocalypse, and if people do survive it, imagine what wonders their children will have to explore.

Re: Beware the zombies of doOM! - 2012Quote

Anyways I never watched Kill Bill.
Quenton Tarantino and me are like two sides of a coin.
We see the world differently.
I remember complaining that the only movie out one summer was Shaun of the Dead, and what sort of movie was that I said?
And then the next day, a guy in London, attacks his neighbor with an axe, he tries to defend himself with a garbage can lid, and of course he gets chopped to bits. On the street near where they filmed that movie, close to where Gwyneth Paltrow yet another friend of mine lives.

But Qentin was not dismayed by this, and so he right away filmed Grindhouse.
I watched that movie. There were some stars I knew in those two films. He is a sick man Quentin what can I say.
And so then last year I was listening to these British mp3's at work, and also about Rome and the history of Rome and the word inglorious came up.
And I remember commenting on that word as being a rather fine word, and lo and behold, Quentin does a gore movie, called Inglorious Bastards, and sucks Bradley into playing a part in it.
Its not that we aren't friends, we just don't see the world the same way.
The zombie movies of old, had a hidden message in them.
But Quentin could never see the hidden meaning in those types of films. He only sees gore for gore's sake.
And to me, that isn't entertainment.
Maybe its thrilling, people do go watch them, maybe even people get a kick out of it, but its not the same as the old movies, that had hidden meanings, a hidden message, something besides just guts and gore.

Here is the theme song from Kill Bill, Quentin reinvigorated David's career with that movie, and the song is an older song, one of my favorites, and features one of my favorite guitar players. Al Di Meola.

It has since become, the theme song for Caprona...
Simply because it has gypsy dancing in it.

Good Morning, Survivor.

You are in Good Company, so to speak. I 'd like to take the opporunity to wish you a happy birthday with this message. I have been reading since you first posted this thread. Enjoying. I thought I might share a sense with you, of something. It goes like this...

"When there's a Full Moon in the sky I stop and stare at the Moon. Sometimes, just for a moment. Sometimes I watch her as I walk. Wondering if she watches me too, a girl.
And I wonder about the Time before the Moon,
And where the Moon was before there was Time.

Was the Moon off somewhere on her own? Wandering with the speed of comets through the starry firmament? It is a rare coincidence of nature that the moon is exactly the right size, and distance from Earth such that the moon and sun appear exactly the same size. I wonder about these things when I look at the Moon.

In the creation Epic called the The Kalevala
There is the Total Recall -“when the Moon was placed in orbit." Which implies a Time before the Moon.
Ovid wrote of a people called the Proselenes - who lived in Arcadia The Proselenes claimed title to this area because their forebears were there "before there was a moon in the heavens."

It's a Full Moon tonight - and I can see how close the Moon really is to the Earth. I've always wanted to go to the Moon - but no, I don't want to go by myself.
I think it would be nice to walk around on the Dark Side of the Moon, And hold her hand in mine. It's not so far away.

Humans have reportedly walked on the Moon, but they wore too many clothes,In my humble lunar opinion.
I'd rather just wear a suit and tie, or perhaps a Tie-Die and a pair of jeans.Depending on who I was with, of course.

Some night I would go to the Moon, and ask her in hushed whispers, Where she was before her time in Earth's orbit,
I have dreamt there is a girl who lives on the Moon who knows these things. But, she keeps to herself.
She is the Moon before the Time before the Moon."

I have a song for this, as an accompaniment if you like. Please, go to Youtube, and enter, Les Requins - Campus N° 8

Happy Birthday.

And yes I know the Cat Women of the Moon. Great film.

Nice post R. and thanks for the birthday wishes.
Les Requins, that's a nice track as well.

There are so many movies and stories I like about the moon.
And a few good radio plays from the past as well.

Such as The Moon is Our Home, with Jimmy Stewart.

First Men on the Moon, by H.G.Wells

and there is a nice story about Mars and Martians by Ray Bradbury, "And the moon be still as bright" but in that story, there is a poem about the moon

A good Canadian poem is such a rare commodity I feel obligated to post it.

That track you posted reminded me of a song I like because it has that same smooth sound. It may be from the same era.

I am thinking that Selena wants to go out for datenight tonight instead.
I am taking Hugh's twin girlfriends out for some fun tonight as well. And I told Aly she could sleep over.
Probably Vanessa is all depressed in Montreal, and wants to sleep over tonight too.

So thats probably what I will do. Its too bad there are not many paparazzi in Montreal so its hard for Vanessa to get a message out.

I don't know, I guess I will see in a couple hours.

I have a 3 day weekend (I think) so you can sleep over maybe Tuesday or something like that if you want.

And Flash earth is just a computer program.

I put a link on a Russian image host and had to switch it to imageshack, at least with movies, the people can get the message, even after a lot of years.

For instance, there was a movie made for me about my mom, years before I was born.

The first zombie movie. White Zombie, and I can even watch it in youtube.

I suspect in 6 months all images would be gone from any image host, so compare that to using movies.

Isn't it amazing how such a huge organization, can make such a mistake as this. That's not Kristen Bell.

Re: Beware the zombies of doOM! - 2012Quote

they are fucking movies

And Flash earth is just a computer program.

I put a link on a Russian image host and had to switch it to imageshack, at least with movies, the people can get the message, even after a lot of years.

For instance, there was a movie made for me about my mom, years before I was born.

The first zombie movie. White Zombie, and I can even watch it in youtube.

I suspect in 6 months all images would be gone from any image host, so compare that to using movies.

Oh, I see. You're fucking nuts.

Good Evening, Survivor.

Well, I put that post together for you as an appreciation of this whole thread. I've been thoroughly enjoying it, I tell you. That bit of poem I wrote, well that is from about 6 years ago. Kind of a personal journey to undertake to actually have written it. I forgot to enter the title for it which is - Time Before The Moon. My cut and paste left some awkward spaces in the way it came out. So anyway I am glad you liked the song also. I had thought when I found it a few days ago that it reminded me of your thread actually. The nuance and subtle moments of the song by Les Requins - reflected in my mind, the ways of this thread of infomation you have constructed. So by posting I was attempting to express a few things with that material. In so doing it was a respect for this entire 'body of work' and an expression of a coincidental uncanny sense in many of the things you have spoken of. Uncanny in the way the word is meant in the translation from the word in German, Unheimlich ( or unhomelike ) and homelike in the same word, if you will. I hope that makes sense. Elsewhere, it was a coincidental experience for me that I took a year off from reading anything online, a complete year for some peace and meditation on films, literature, and musical research, and I found a VHS copy of The Cat Women of the Moon. This viewing was precursor to a series of events that led me to construct a poem specifically designed and dedicated to several layers of thoughts on many of the things you have mentioned along the way, and also to the memory of Mr. Michael Hutchence. I've just been thinking on things a little and I thought I would share.

Yours,
R
