Good Evening, Survivor.

Well, I put that post together for you as an appreciation of this whole thread. I've been thoroughly enjoying it, I tell you. That bit of poem I wrote, well that is from about 6 years ago. Kind of a personal journey to undertake to actually have written it. I forgot to enter the title for it which is - Time Before The Moon. My cut and paste left some awkward spaces in the way it came out. So anyway I am glad you liked the song also. I had thought when I found it a few days ago that it reminded me of your thread actually. The nuance and subtle moments of the song by Les Requins - reflected in my mind, the ways of this thread of infomation you have constructed. So by posting I was attempting to express a few things with that material. In so doing it was a respect for this entire 'body of work' and an expression of a coincidental uncanny sense in many of the things you have spoken of. Uncanny in the way the word is meant in the translation from the word in German, Unheimlich ( or unhomelike ) and homelike in the same word, if you will. I hope that makes sense. Elsewhere, it was a coincidental experience for me that I took a year off from reading anything online, a complete year for some peace and meditation on films, literature, and musical research, and I found a VHS copy of The Cat Women of the Moon. This viewing was precursor to a series of events that led me to construct a poem specifically designed and dedicated to several layers of thoughts on many of the things you have mentioned along the way, and also to the memory of Mr. Michael Hutchence. I've just been thinking on things a little and I thought I would share.

Yours,
R
 Quoting: R 701604

Well thanks for sharing. You know there are lots of people, who can remember a time and a place where they used to live where people got along better and things seemed to be more friendly,

There is another movie called Logan's Run, that sometimes rings a bell with people. There are some parts of that movie that people seem to remember. Not the negative parts, but the way that people lived together in a type of harmony.
I think whoever wrote it was drawing from ancient memories and embellishing.

And a radio play or audio book or book called Neuromancer, also deals with conscious computers and embellishes on inside information.
The BBC did a nice special presentation of Neuromancer which I have heard more than once. Most people like that story because I think some of it seems plausible or familiar to them. I would recommend that broadcast. Its available for download if you do a search or use the torrent system.

I see you got my email.

What happened was Cecil's secretary was getting off a bus, and she had two scripts under her arm, Girl Guides in CaprONA!
and Caged Wild Cat women of CaprONA! and the wind blew off her hat, she dropped the scripts, passer bys helped her gather them up , but they weren't numbered or marked, and its all a terrible mess. I have no idea what we are going to do now.
But as you know, the show must go on.

Can I see your bum again now? Did I ever tell you how amazing you look in those cargo pants?

It's political. If I say only you can sleep on the left hand side, that puts too much pressure on everyone. I am not against doing that, it is just unnecessary to limit us that way as a couple and as a group. That's why I had Aly sleep there for a while last night.
Hanuman was hoping I would do that. I don't know why, maybe to get us to be a couple so he can slam me.
I'm just a little gun shy.
I wish you were here for my three days off but I understand.
Fortunately for us we are not limited by time and space.
But I know you want to go to Caprona so I will take you there with us. I know you wanted to go last weekend, but I didn't get your message until the day after.
But thats ok, I got your message there from before you left Paris. Everything is fine. Tell Shia to relax and enjoy it for cryin out loud. All the chicks are going to want him now. (If he will just stop talking about his mom all the time)

Re: Logan's Run, Conscious Computers, Ancient Memories drawing pictures in the present.

Indeed, I recall Logan's Run and some of the peaceful moments you mention. I was awestruck by certain of the Science Ficton revelation enough to keep my eye on the ball as it seemed to bounce where the issues of ancient and future intersected with a sense of now in literature and as expression across artistic renderings. And thanks for the Shaft Theme mentioned, too. These old songs are not so much a nostalgia sometimes as they are a remembrance of a complex and multilayered sense of identity expressing a rich tapestry of life. A supernature if you like.

One novella that struck me broadside years ago was the 1966 story - Empire Star - Samuel R. Delany, which features a unique Conscious Computer known as L.U.M.P - or Linguistic Ubiquitous Multiplex. Outstanding perceptual insights.

You are quite welcome, Survivor. I forgot to mention that the essential version of Empire Star is in a collection from the 1980s called - Distant Stars - there is a Wiki entry for it. A couple copies floating around. You might find it used pretty readily. The key thing is the illustrations that accompany the text. They are black and white renderings with a flavor of a Japanese Woodblock series depicting a Zen process. It is a time travel story where more than one of the characters IS a Conscious Computer and the protagonist meets himself in different time periods. IN any case the illustrated version really shows the emotional context and sense of mystery involved.

I was also appreciating what you wrote about David Carradine recently, here, and the Kung Fu. More on that later perhaps.

Enjoy your travels!

I hope you continue to post.

What? Am I busted? Who was that woman you saw me with last night? Well you were already on your way to London this morning your time, after I woke you up in the morning, and sooo, I had to sleep with _someone, so I thought well I will sleep with one of my local girl friends.

[link to img199.imageshack.us]

I was just saying thankyou to her for walking downtown every week to sign me. She wants to be a goddess helper. She figured since Devon never signs me, she would just take her place.

Here she is taking pictures of the cheerleaders.
[link to img189.imageshack.us]

see? All perfectly harmless.
Thats why she slept on the right and not the left last night.

Are you finished gallivanting around the world yet? I still have Monday and Tuesday off if you can make it to a reasonable timezone.

If you are observant, you can see the verification of what I just said, from the signal from the woman to the right, where she has her hand in her pocket ("don't say anything about a relationship") and she has two rings on her left hand.
Anyways she signs me every week to be a goddess helper. I just don't take her picture every week, usually I see her when I am just finishing work.
Yes I flirt with her but then I flirt with everyone.
I was actually going to have her sleep on the left last night, just because its more comfortable, but then I said to myself, well Megan might get the wrong impression if she did.
I could have slept with the other girls who were there last night but I figured this was a better diplomatic solution.
Besides, she makes the effort, so I want her to know that I appreciate the effort.
She's a good goddess helper too, and gorgeous, so that is always nice.

Wow! I love the beautiful images of your lovely harem (Doutzen is quite amazing -- you have excellent taste in women:)

But I would love to hear more about the early history of this world, as well, and the hidden meaning of other films and music. Like you, I'm a huge fan of both (and I've seen "Eraserhead" several times on the midnight movie circuit, and I'm fascinated by it, so I understand what you're alluding to) "Wizard of Oz" is another film that holds special interest for me -- you know about the "Dark Side of the Moon" connection? Very strange. Do you have any insight to that?

Peace to you -- and please keep posting.
