Green orbs - sleep disruptions - strange experiences when I was a teenager
I was about 14 years old, laying in bed to go to sleep. Soon after passing the threshold of sleep, where external conciousness mostly fades away and deep sleep is imminent (hypergogic, hypnopompic?) I had the most unusual sensation, like a voice in my head - but not a voice - more of a feeling that exclaimed 'wake up. wake up now!' The feeling was neither malevolent nor benevolent, just matter-of-fact.

What I saw when I opened my eyes (I'm convinced I actually awoke and opened my eyes) was a green orb of light, dimmer than a lightbulb about as bright as glow-in-the-dark tritium, slightly larger than a softball, hovering motionless a few inches off the ground in a darkened corner of my bedroom.

As soon as I registered what I saw it dissapeared, less than one second.

As i only received a brief glimpse I shrugged it off as a figment of my imagination and attempted to go back to sleep. A few minutes later it happened again, same state of sleep, same feeling to awake, same green orb. However it stayed for 2 or 3 seconds before dissapearing or winking out (I can't remember which) so I had no doubt I saw something. I also have no doubt I was awake because I ran into my mom's bedroom and slept in her bed the rest of the night because I was terrified (hot, I know).

I've had no other encounters or memories of anything strange though my mom swears that a similar orb approached her very closely outside of her (another) house several years later.

WTF glp?

Re: Green orbs - sleep disruptions - strange experiences when I was a teenager
nothing to worry about. i've seen orbs around me and other people for years. some are white, some red, yellow, green and a bluey violet color. my take on them is that they are simply visitors (take that how you want, not sure myself!) and the reason you dont see them more is that the experience freaked you out somewhat.

either you shut it out or 'they' do? or a bit of both.

i acknowledge them, i say Hi or Thanx or Bless You, and the more i do it, the more i see them... its quite a privilege to my mind...

as for the voices - same thing applies.
happy now?

I saw a green orb once coming over a fence while I was visiting a friend in Dallas in her back yard. I was able to get a picture of it too. The orb in the photo looked just like what I saw, which was about the size of a dime. I was also mentally calling them in..

Re: Green orbs - sleep disruptions - strange experiences when I was a teenager
I once had a transparent (think like the being in the Predator films) 3 foot tall entity come in through my bedroom window, run round the side of my bed, and then the mattress felt like a weight had gone down on it. I then had this weird 'glowing' sensation on the small of my back.

This was on the back of numerous close-up UFO sightings.

One time I woke with a hand round my neck, as if threatening to strangle me.

Weird, huh.

For a while I saw them all the time. Mostly blue-grey colored ones that liked to fly just over the tree tops.

Re: Green orbs - sleep disruptions - strange experiences when I was a teenager
Weird! I was led here from another thread.
Back in 2001/2002, off and on for a period of several weeks or months I had these same sleep type disruptions, where I would be in a dream and would waken and see a small green figure like a woman or something that would disappear as soon as my eyes focused or I became fully awake. Probably half a dozen times at least. But I think if memory serves me well, that the dreams were nightmares of some sort.
Also during this same period I had a 'bout of what the medical profession likes to call 'sleep paralysis' and had 80% of classic symtoms, auditory buzzing, frozen in bed, and aware of a very nefarious presence near, which I think I perceived as a roiling mass above the bed near the ceiling. I am definitly certain to this day that I was awake as I could see the light on from the other room and knew my wife was at the computer working. It was a life changing event for me which started my searching for answers on the internet and books.
I'm still looking for answers. But one thing for sure, when it happens to you it is something that others don't understand when you need to talk with someone about it. You may often come acoss sounding a little strange. The other thing that was bothering me back through this period was several times I dreamed that I was being taken away by entities that I was very afraid of but at the height of my anxiety when I would seemingly be pulled in the air off the bed, I would scream out to my wife. She would never hear me though and would continue to sleep. And all times this incident happened (at least 1/2 dozen times)I never remembered beyond the abduction part though and would go back to sleep or feel safe and secure again. I often wonder if I mentally blocked something out because this was an occuring event. With the sleep paralysis, it tried to happen more times too but I think I fought it off somehow without waking all the way, but did indeed feel it coming on several more times also. I read somewhere that SP is something usually experienced by adolescents and teens or people in their twenties. I, however was 47 at the time. The only other bizaar things I've experienced is Triangle UFO summer of 2008 and strange clear glass like orb ufo in the '70's. Also might be of interest that I was living adjacent to a large Nazarene church back in 01/02. Or the fact that one of our neighbors was a lunatic who sexually assaulted my wife in 2006 right befor we moved away.
I travelled a lot with guitar and backpack back in the 70's through Europe like a gypsey and I always thought that I had led an interesting and weirdly different life that was significant somehow. But after visiting GLP over the years I've trully come to comprehend that most of us have all had remarkable lives and experiences that make us both unique and similar in many respects. So I say to you my brothers and sisters, "isn't life a really very marvelous thing and just when one begins to think they have it all figured out, something profound comes along and knocks reality sideways so that all one can claim is just how much we really don't know". You gotta love the ride, it beats the heck out of any fiction!

Re: Green orbs - sleep disruptions - strange experiences when I was a teenager
hehe I had the dream/sleep thing when I was a teen too. Very vidid of course. I'm sure there are good scientific explanations (or if not, will be eventually).

Felt like I had woken up - everything very vidid. I felt an impending sense of evil. Kinda like a very strong fear, but it was almost static pressure. I'd heard something before then about magnetism or something being able to create a sense of dread in the right conditions, so it may just be electrical activity in the brain.

To get on with the "yarn", I felt the sense of dread, and hid under my duvet. Felt scared to look out. Eventually I tried to put my mind at rest, and looked out. At the bottom of my bed were two short dark figures - shadows with glowing red eyes.

I immediately hid again under the duvet in fear. I guess the "electromagnetic" thing I'd read kicked in at that stage. I tried to rationalise my fear, then it crossed my mind that if there really were figures there and this was the typical reaction i should feel sorry for them..

I looked down again and felt something completely different. A great deal more positive bouncing back at me. Again, the fact that it seems reflected and amplified suggests perhaps that's it's just a brain chemistry / charge thing perhaps?

Anyway, things went a bit weird then - felt myself drifting down the hallway past all sorts of weird figures. Gorillas in different colours, figures looking like swamp thing (seaweed and all lol), tentacles you name it. Dreamt I went through the front door. (Well one moment in the hall next moment outside). Looked at a bright star, possible a triangle, drifted up then found myself in a cavern lol

Sandstone in colour, surrounded by erm.. kinda children. In my mind they were children and looked up to me, but in my dream I kinda garbled their appearance, seeing as they were hairless with big heads, and startling blue eyes.

Maybe it's a genetic representation of babies.. and standing up and being bigger is how our minds represent children.

All weird, but some shrink and doc can prob explain the charges in the brain and patterns of thought going through it that would result in those "events".

Re: Green orbs - sleep disruptions - strange experiences when I was a teenager
lol missed the topic there - intended to reply to that!

Migraine possibly? Wouldn't rule out the possibility that the brain short-circuits sometimes.

Try putting your hands together, but about an inch apart, and move them in small circles. Imagine you can feel them. I think somehow the part of the imagination overworking and the nerves being hypersenestive can trigger it or something. You sometimes imagine lights, generally with a dull headache (dodgy brain wiring - call an electrician lol).

Anything you "learn" while you're doing it it probably things that you subconsciously picked up on but in that state can focus on the emotional / less obvious more easily, or was wishful thinking fulfilled etc :)

In the event there is some "intelligence" to it (which again can probably be rationaled by science), I'd rule out the dead, ufos and all that from my experience. Last time it included one who turned out to be a kid asleep upstairs I think lol

Re: Green orbs - sleep disruptions - strange experiences when I was a teenager
There's a few references to "orbs" spotted with digital cameras on the dark. These tie in with light sources, often the lower resolution camera models and water vapor / reflective particles in the air. The tiny specks of light are formed into "orbs" by the camera's inbuilt software.

Not sure about the normal / daylight variety, but hey.. if you can have a migraine there's got to be something there :)

Hey Anonymous Coward 683898,

I had an experience similar to yours but I wasn't asleep and my sister also saw it. We were young, it happened in the 70's. I woke up and saw a green orb (glowing green) the size a tennis ball at the base of my sisters bed. I thought it might have been a sticker or something that glowed in the dark so when I asked here what it was she got up to look. She had her blanket wrapped around her and when she got close it JUMPED onto her blanket! She screamed, dropped the blanket and jumped onto my bed. We both freaked out! I got brave and ran across the room to turn on the light but when the light was turned on there was nothing there! I turned off the light again to see if was still there and it reappeared. I don't know why we didn't wake up my parents but we ended up sleeping with the light on in the same bed scared to death til the next morning. We still talk about it and it still remains a mystery.

I would also awaken to a yellow green orb. Mine did not fade upon awakening tho. I would see it go from left to right in a straight line then break apart into smaller orbs. This would go on for some time before I could get back to sleep. It stopped when I was around fifteen. I never questioned it, just thought it wasmy mind playing tricks on me.abductabductabduct

Re: Green orbs - sleep disruptions - strange experiences when I was a teenager
I have had similar experiences. The most current experience was the MOST frightening and happened just a few nights ago. I was only in bed a few moments but was on the verge of falling asleep. While lying there with my eyes closed I felt a sharp puff of air on my face. Frightened or shocked, I opened my eyes to see a green glow about 2 feet above where my husband was sleeping. I know the puff of air was not from my husband as he was turned in the opposite direction. The green object just hovered there and I was extemely frightened. To me, of course, it felt like an evil presence. I tried to call to my husband to wake him up, but could not speak. I tried to touch my husband to wake him up and I could not move my arms or legs. I kept trying to scream but couldn't. (I remembered when things like this had happened to me before and I've mentioned the incident to a family member, she told me if you feel an unwelcomed presence in your home say out loud - You are not welcome in my house, you must leave now.) So I tried to say this out loud but couldnt' speak. So I just thought it over and over again. This is when I became MOST frightened. The green glow disappearred, however, I felt instantly once the green glow was gone that something had me around my waist and was trying to pull me off the bed. I felt like I was clinging onto the bed for my life and again in a panic tried to scream to my husband, move my arms, legs, head, body and couldn't. I couldnt' see behind me to see if something was there, but I felt something. I was so frightened. Then all of a sudden everything was calm. I laid there in bed trying to come to grips with what had happened. I was convinced that I was awake and was not asleep. I looked around my room and everything was calm, dogs and husband were sound asleep, undisturbed by my horrorific incident. I have had similar experiences to this for years. All have occurred when I'm just starting to drift off to sleep. All with a green glow, all with the feeling of something evil present in my room. I have since looked up things on the internet to find a sleep disorder or experience called "Sleep Paralysis". This explains very similar situations, feelings that you cannot move or speak and all with a sense of sheer panic or horror. I want to believe that this is what is occurring to me, I cannot accept that it is anything else (for my own sanity).

Re: Green orbs - sleep disruptions - strange experiences when I was a teenager
I, too, experienced these. It was late 1960's, maybe 1967. I was only about 7 or 8. It was July, and a very hot night. My sister and I were staying with our grandparents in their home in Arkansas. It was so hard and I could not sleep (they did not have air back then...)I saw one green glowing orb, and at first I mistook it for a lightening bug. Then I saw two, three, and then it seemed as though there were maybe a hundred. They were green, glowing and about the size of a tennnis ball but kind of ovalish. As I watched them out the window, one of them seemed to sense I was watching. Then they started moving towards me but I was so frightened, I closed my eyes. I "peeked" a few seconds later and they seemed to move on down the side of the house. I tried to wake my sister but she would not wake up. I looked out the window again and one appeared from no where just like it was watching me. It came close to the window and I jumped across the bed and under the covers. I can't remember now, it's been too many years, if it came through the screen or not. Sometimes I think it did, other times I think I imagined it. One thing I know for sure. I did not dream nor imagine these things. It was real and I have never ever told a sole. I got curious tonight after thinking about it, and found this site. I don't know what they were, but they seemed to have 'life' and understand my fear.

Re: Green orbs - sleep disruptions - strange experiences when I was a teenager
Was thinking about something I experienced at the age of about nine or so. Typed it into laptop ,and found this site. I am 56 years of age now and have no reason to fabricate any sort of story. So Im gonna tell you what I saw one night. I live in Ferris Texas, have all my life. One night I was laying in bed and back then we had no airconditioning in or homes and slept with our windows open,we had screens on the windows , and as a kid I would lie there in bed long before daylight and listen to the roosters crowing in the distance. One morning I was laying there and a green light came in the window . It was green and as it floated around the room it pulsated a very bright like a strobe light. It was so bright it hurt my eyes when it flashed every few seconds. It went all around the room and then went back out the window. Dont know what it was ...but I know this , I saw what I saw...Dont care If you believe it or not, dont change the truth none at all.

I'm glad I found this site and the experiences posted by others that have seen green orbs. Here's what I saw:
One night last summer, we were all in bed and I heard a noise in the computer room down the hall. I got out of bed and looked down the hall to see if my son had gotten up and got on the computer. There were no lights on in any rooms. A green orb the size of a tennis ball came out of the computer room floating/bobbing about 18 inches off the ground. I gasped when I realized it wasn't a lightning bug and it 'looked' at me and got brighter. It started coming down the hallway towards me, ascending in height until it was directly across from me and paused over my son's bedroom door. Then it got even brighter and exploded, just like a 4th of July firework and disappeared. I said,"Oh my God" and my husband responded, "What?". I asked him if he had seen the green light and he said no as he was lying with his back to our door.
I was startled but not too afraid at the time to stay in the doorway and watch it. I'm glad I did. We live in an old house and see all kinds of shadows that can't be explained - day or night.

Re: Green orbs - sleep disruptions - strange experiences when I was a teenager
In the late 80's, my husband and I lived in McAllen Texas. One night, we had just turned in for the night. Lights were out, the room was dark and all was quiet. I was laying there just waiting to fall asleep when just happened to look toward the door that led to the hallway. As I watched, two bright luminious green orbs floated down the hallway side by side. They were about 12 inches around and they were this kind of wafted slowly by the door, almost like they were balls floating on top of a swimming pool. I lay there for another minute, just trying to digest what I had seen. I then said to my husband,"are you awake?" He very quietly said "yes". I waited another minute. He didn't say anthing so I then asked, "did you see that?". He responded, again very quietly, "yes". With that I flipped over to my side and went to sleep. My husband and I didn't say anything else about this to each other or anyone else for anther 15 years. Normally after 15 years, memories fade, details get lost but even after 15 years, when we compared notes, we remember almost exaclty the same details. I would love to know what they were.

Re: Green orbs - sleep disruptions - strange experiences when I was a teenager
Thanks for the link as I just had an interesting experience with a green orb. A dear friend of my girlfriend had taken seriously ill with a terminal illness. I had met him once when he was very sick and we got along very well. Last night while in my kitchen I was preparing some dinner on my kitchen counter top and as I was looking down I notice a strange green glowing ball hovering just above my eye level. At the moment I became aware of it a very strong thought that my gf's friend had passed. The moment after the thought the orb vanished. I didn't think much of it but later that evening while I was talking with her on the phone she told me that she had news that her friend had pasted. The curious thing is he passed just a short time before my incident with the green orb. Anyway life certainly is full of mysteries! Thanks for the post...

Re: Green orbs - sleep disruptions - strange experiences when I was a teenager
I was thinking about an experience I had a long time ago. I am guessing I was about 20 and 22 when I saw an orb.

I was definitely awake. I was lying in bed. I fell asleep but my lights were on. I awoke for some reason to see an orb it was to my far corner left right above my bedroom door. It was about the size between a softball and basketball so it was rather large. I was stunned a little scared, it slowly began to move across my ceiling slowly staying in the corner where wall meets ceiling. It got to the corner which was by my feet. It moved towards me. I forgot to mention that I sat up when I saw it. As it moved towards me I remember slinking down in my bed and as it got above me I can't remember if it faded or disappeared but I believe it sort of faded out.

The orb was to my memory clear or opague with what I would describe as green almost smoke like substance inside. It always reminded me of if you blew green cigarette smoke into a clear ball. But the green wasn't a deep green it was lighter and faded green.

I'm 48 now so it was a long time ago. I have no idea what made me think of it now.

The bad part of the story was when I went back to sleep I awoke with something pushing me down on to my bed to where I couldn't move. I tried opening my eyes or moving to get it off me but I couldn't. It lasted only seconds and when my eyes opened I caught a glimpse of a black almost skeletal face which quickly flew off me and passed right through my bedroom door.

I did not go back to sleep and til this day it is the scariest thing that has ever happened to me.

Re: Green orbs - sleep disruptions - strange experiences when I was a teenager
My parents told me that when I was younger one of these green orbs came into their room. They came and grabbed me and brought me in. They said it just floated there at the foot of the bed as if watching them. My dad started asking it, what do you want and he tried to reach out and touch it, but it just moved and avoided his hand. Then, it dispersed all over the room and made it glow greenish.

The electric bill that month for them was sky high.

The earliest memory I have, is in this same house, I can assume I was maybe 2...perhaps 3. All I remember is laying in bed between my parents and my feet feeling like they were out of the covers (I remember this specifically because I was obviously not very tall at the time, I am not tall now lol) but then the bed lifted up and started almost flying through some kind of weird tunnel full of all kinds of colors..then the bed drifted back down in the room. Although it is just a memory I dont remember if it is an actual memory of something that physically happened, or a dream. Regardless, I am surprised i remember it at all dream or memory. If it was a dream that really is something considering the fact it is hard for me to even remember dreams from last night, let alone 20 years ago.

Re: Green orbs - sleep disruptions - strange experiences when I was a teenager
OK, so last night I saw a bright neon green translucent ball of light that pretty much freaked me out. I started searching the internet to try and find an explanation for what I saw and my search brought me to this discussion. So, while it’s fresh in my head, I will describe what happened last night and hopefully someone out there might know what the heck happened.

Just for the record, I don’t believe in ghosts, and while I don’t think we are alone in this universe, I am the kind of person that is very skeptical when I hear UFO stories. I also never hallucinate, have never experienced anything traumatizing, and I have a very straight-forward and logical type of personality. Honestly, I don’t think that what happened was real, I think it was all in my head, but I am very intrigued by it and I am wondering what could have triggered it. Anyway, here is my story…

I got home from work yesterday around 5pm completely exhausted. I ended up going to bed around 7pm, which is very early for me, but again, I was exhausted. This was on a Saturday night and I live in a townhome in a metropolitan area, so there was still plenty of activity outside as I was falling asleep. But I live alone and I was here alone all night. I just moved here about 2 weeks ago, and I am new to the area. My bedroom is on the 2nd floor, and my bed is centered on a window, which the blinds were closed last night as they usually are. I know I fell asleep pretty fast because I don’t remember lying in bed for very long.

At about 10:40pm (the clock in the kitchen said 10:41 when I ended up going downstairs) I was woken up by something, more of a feeling of a presence. My eyes shot open and I saw a bright neon green ball of light floating right in front of my face (like the color of a green glow-stick). It seemed translucent, almost as if it were just a ball of gas. It was so close to my face that it’s hard to tell how big it was, but I think it was somewhere between the size of a softball to a basketball. It seemed almost to be kind of fuzzy, but that may be just because my eyes didn’t have a chance to focus in on it. I was lying on my stomach, with my head on my pillow facing to the left, and my hands under my pillow. The “orb” (not sure if it was an orb but that’s what I’m going to call it for now) was hovering about an inch above my sheets, almost perfectly level with my head, as if it were someone else’s head that was lying next to me. The green glow was emanating from the orb, as my white sheets under it were being illuminated with the green light, as well as the entire room, but the brightest concentration of its reflected light was just under it on my white sheets. I can even remember seeing the shadow on the wall it created of the lamp that is next to my bed, which was behind the orb.

I’ve read other people’s accounts that described orbs that move up and down and left to right. I didn’t have time to tell if this one was moving, because at almost the exact instant that I saw it, I reflexively swung at it with my pillow. My left hand, which was already under my pillow, grabbed the pillow and swung it at the orb extremely hard and fast as I turned and moved my head away from the orb all in one motion. You can imagine this by picturing yourself waking up to a wasp or a bee buzzing in front of your face, I swatted it away instinctively and moved my face away as if to avoid getting “stung” by it.

Now this is the interesting part. I remember seeing the orb dissipate just as the pillow was heading for it. It was like slow-motion as it was happening. First it turned from a homogenous hazy ball to a sparkly cluster of stars, which each then expanded outward as it grew dimmer, completely disappearing just as the pillow would have been impacting it. At this time I remember hearing a loud pop, almost like a balloon getting popped or a small firecracker exploding.

The next thing I knew I was standing outside my room in my hallway, heart racing and full of adrenaline. I was standing there with the feeling of being prepared to fight for my life. Thinking back to this really makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up!

As I eased back into my room and turned on the light, I noticed that feathers had exploded out of my pillow. I still can’t figure out what my pillow could have hit to make it explode. I don’t have a head board on my bed yet (still haven’t unpacked it yet) and the night stand and lamp were un-touched. The closest solid object the pillow could have hit would be the window, but the blinds were shut and they seem undisturbed. All I know is I swung that pillow so hard that my arm has been extremely sore all day; I feel like I pulled a muscle around my tricep area.

I ended up going down stairs to sleep on the couch, which is when I found out that it was only 10:41pm. I got a glass of water and remember feeling very hot and sweaty, even though I know it was cold in my house. I fell back asleep OK and woke up around 8am the next morning and everything was normal except for the feather mess.

Sorry for making you read all that but I wanted to make sure I covered all of the details while they are still fresh in my mind. If anyone has any feedback that can help me figure this out it will be much appreciated. I’m going to set up a camera tonight see if I catch anything interesting on video. If I don’t figure anything out in the next couple of weeks I’m just going to write it off as a weird dream combined with a muscle spasm in my arm, lol.

Re: Green orbs - sleep disruptions - strange experiences when I was a teenager
I found this thread via google. I too experienced a green orb. About 12 years ago I was staying in my boyfriends (now husband)grandparents house. We weren't married so we had to sleep separately, I was on the couch in the living room and he was in a back bedroom. I woke up and saw a green orb a little bigger than a softball, for some reason I followed it and it led me down the hallway to my boyfriend. It hung in the air over his bed and I reached out and woke him up and asked if he saw it too, he said yes. The next thing I remember is waking up back on the couch in the morning. I assumed it had been a crazy dream. I started telling my boyfriend about it and he looked at me and said that wasn't a dream I remember that too. We still have no idea what happened after I woke him up or what it was, but 12 years later that is still vivid in my mind and I think about it quite frequently. I would love to know what it was.

Re: Green orbs - sleep disruptions - strange experiences when I was a teenager
I was walking home one night around 8 something pm and something told me to look up and right beside a street-light I saw a green orb the size of a tennis ball or maybe a baseball...but i will never forget that night because it was kinda moving around and when i got in 10 feet from it, it stopped, almost as if it knew i was there, like it was looking at me so it moved to the right and then to the left and just disappeared..and ever since then I been a big believer in GOD...but that color i cant forget because it was a green color that i never seen before...it was like a neon green but brighter and very very green and it had a ray around it but it was in a perfect circle.....but i been looking everywhere for that color and i cant find it anywhere....I use to be one of those ppl who didnt believe in that sort of thing until that night, now im no doubter ...the green is almost the same color as yoda lightsaver but brighter yoda

Yeah, illuminated dust particles most commonly known as drug side effects can be attributed to hallucinogenic imaginary visualizations. My advice, rehab!

Re: Green orbs - sleep disruptions - strange experiences when I was a teenager
I am not a teenager and this happened to me last night. I was lying in bed trying to go to sleep and I felt this heavy dread come over me. Like paralyzing fear. I was so afraid. I immediately began to pray. Then this green orb flying fast comes threw my door and hovers over me and my husband. It was so bright and it hovered for a second or two, then disappeared and suddenly all the fear was gone and I felt better, like instant relief, but I am still scared out of my mind, was up half the night, and I feel like a lunatic for posting this. It just makes me feel better that similar sights have occurred to other people. The thing that puzzles me, is that I can't tell if the orb was evil, or the orb was protecting me. It doesn't seem to fit that a bright ball of light could be evil, but something evil was definitely present. I guess I will never know.

Re: Green orbs - sleep disruptions - strange experiences when I was a teenager
When I lived in Texas a neon green orb the size of a golf ball floated up to my bedroom window and after about 20 seconds floated away. My husband said meteorologists use them to track the temperature. You mentioned that it was hot. If you had the window open that may be what it was. I see there are other stories from Texas on this.

Re: Green orbs - sleep disruptions - strange experiences when I was a teenager
Some years ago I was wakened in the middle of the nigt by somthing grabbing and pulling my left hand. At the same time I heard a voice calling my name. I instantly woke up an called out "let go my hand", and at the same time I pulled my hand back so fast that it hit the wall on my right side.
In that moment I was wide awake sitting up in my bed.
The room was lit up by a green orb, aproximately the size of a soccerball. Inside the orb was the head of a woman looking straight at me, and her hair seemed to be static electric and filling the orb. I could not think of anything to say, an I just called out "get lost". In just about five seconds she (the orb) rised slovely and disappeared through the ceiling. I remember that her face had an expression of disappointment and anger, and later I regretted my impulsive reaction. I had a strong feeling that she wanted to tell me something, and that I should have acted otherwise. I have not experienced anything like this ever since.
