I would say hold off on regs, you may end up in sticky political holes, doing things you do not agree with.

With a private company, it's a contractual job.

You could always try to be a merc.

Most of Xe people went to TC because they are contracting in the Sandbox.

Do a search for PMCs or Private Military Corporations. Xe isn't the only one. Some of them may need instructors. You're a little old to get field work, but who knows. Give it a shot.

You should look for work in training others.
Lets be realistic you are probably carved out of stone.
But once we reach 30+ we are not as fit agile and fast as those 22yo's.
When it comes to hiring a soldier the certain age group is simply a barrier you can not change.
Find some work teaching the young bucks how to shoot.

I was really just fooling around here, saw a similar thread posted by a thirty year old guy, thinking about joining the army, as he is unemployed.

Last time I did some serious shooting was forty years ago...

What you need most I would say is a change of heart. Your 56 and unemployed, in financial straits, so a good option (in your mind) is to kill people, most likely innocent people, but innocent or not they are human beings.
