PROPOSAL - Pressurized Pipe to the Moon (For Birds) | |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 684513 05/22/2009 10:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I was thinking... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 684769I have billions of dollars. There must be birds out there that would like to fly to the moon, but can't for one reason or another. (No one can quite make up their mind as to why). Do you think it would be a good idea to build a clear glass pipe to the moon that has a diameter large enough for birds to fly through? It could be pressurized the whole way, and kept at a certain temperature, so birds would have no excuse to avoid flying to the moon. This is developing and any input on this project would be helpful and stimulating. Thanks. Yeah but what happens when they come out the other end?....no flap....jack LOL |

All great truths begin as blasphemies. Nobody's sister set it up the bomb so talk to her. Siriusly ... most of the time I'm only jokering around. Sanity is a crazy man's crazy in a crazy world. :Exile: |

This is almost as good as the guy who posted a year or two ago that he was going to the hardware store and listed a whole cache of instruments he was purchasing to drill a hole in his head to take out an antennae that was lodged in there. God bless this forum. I like this idea. |

| sreyarm User ID: 6474592 11/30/2012 11:04 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Of course the Earth-bound end of the pipe would have to be fixed to some sort of track system that follows the circumference of the planet, probably at the equator, so that it can stay directly beneath the moon as it revolves around the Earth... Seems like a small price to pay to aid the birds, however. |

Its 250000 miles, at 100 MPH it would take 110 days. Do you have food and beverage stops? Quoting: WalkerTalker2 Its pressurized. They would shoot out the other end like a potato gun. ceiling cat cees wat u r doin but basement cat noes y. |

I tried yelling it to them from the deck but they fly away then also. I'm gonna put a couple snares baited with bread down where they hang out and see if I can catch one. I'll let you guys know if I get one in custody for questioning. |
