If you get rid of them there is always someone ready to jump right into their place....somebody who could well be worse.

Look around you, how many "would be" tyrants do you come across every single day, how many people when given half a chance would be the most ruthless and odious people when given unlimited power. Oh sure they would dress up their selfish agenda´s with all sorts of high-minded bullshit - but the end result would be the same. The subjugation of the masses by an ego driven maniac.
