Certainly not the Seneca guns. This was a high pitched squeal with an intermittent grinding sound. As stated above, it is what I would imagine a plane going down would sound like as the engine tore itself apart.
edit: whatever it was also clearly seemed to pass over my apartment. It was not a static noise that sounded far away.

I have an excellent west view from my balony, with a table for my tripod. I can get a 10 second exposure. I'll do a little reading, and see if there is a way to set a longer exposure.
That would be midnight my time. The horizon is blocked by buildings, but if I set up a little before it would serve the same purpose. I'll see what I can catch. I've been taking photos of the stars that aren't stars about that time and later anyway. Using Stellarium & Celestia, I'm still having problems identifying these.
Is there anything specific you are looking for ?
I do hope viewing and capturing images of the wonders happening above us becomes contagious. My sentiments are for everyone to grab their cameras, and start snapping photos & vids. Put these shots in a photo program, hit the shadowing/unbrighten/blackpointing, whatever your program calls it, and slide that lever a bit. If there is anything there, at least a glimmer of it will show up. Play!
668458,
That is so good to hear. It will take more than just me taking these kinds of photos to break through. There are a few of the top UFO researchers who have noticed the same thing, but they are very hesitant right now to come right out and say that there are objects cloaking in cloud vapor.
I too have seen what you describe from a video. Twice. I think the guy was in west Houston, just north of where I am. The first time, a little grey puff was low and above me when I was taking photos at ground level. It literally raced down to right above roof level above me, which made the hair stand up on my arms, but I kept on clicking the shutter.
A month ago was the best. Clear blue sky. A little wisp of cloud appeared, and I got my camera on it, click. Within a minute, while I was clicking, it had become a big fluffy puff of vapor with a very grey solid object in it's center, and had moved directly in front of me just above roof level. Kind of like saying, 'here I am, take my picture please'. hehe
Rocky, that is nice. I am reminded that it is said that 'he will come in the clouds', and 'the kingdom of God will descend in the clouds'. I believe we are in those times. The proof is all around us now.
CSL, musician here too. I've noticed that many UFOlogists are musicians. We are finely tuned to sound vibration disturbances, and earth vibrations. So maybe that makes sense.
BTW, I too have heard the humming, so bad it has kept me up nights. Thumping also. The high frequency noises that I thought were only inside turned out to be audible outside as well. Quoting: Texas Uncensored
If you are going to be outside at 1:10AM EST, pay close attention to whether or not you hear anything unusual and note the general direction of origin. I'm also curious as to whether or not the horizon is glowing where you're at, and if so which direction(s). Those who wish to be...

It's a shame that I just now read this thread. I live close to Wilmington, NC and have borne witness to several of the anomolies mentioned.
In regards to the one that is the reason for this thread, this past Monday (I know it was Monday because this was my one night off this week) I was laying in bed, some time before 2a.m. and heard this noise. At the time I thought it had to be a low-flying plane with an engine that had catastrophically failed soaring over my apartment. I was waiting to hear the crash. It was loud, and given how close it sounded I would not have been surprised to step outside and see wreckage in the parking lot.
To the flashing red/blue/green star: I saw this for a solid 2-3months from Jan-March in the exact same place in the sky, the southern sky ~30 degrees above the horizon. It was also very bright, brighter than any star I've seen and the flashing and colors were easily visible to the naked eye. I would notice it anytime I went out for a smoke between 9:30-11:00PM, and would always be gone when I left for work at 11:45. I made a point to look for it every night, and it was always there. About a month ago it disappeared, and last week I rediscovered it in the Western sky, though it does not seem nearly as bright now, and I see it between 2-5AM on smoke breaks. The flashing is also not nearly as noticable, but if I strain I can see the hints of color. The past few nights I have noticed, particularly at sunrise, an extremely bright star in the Eastern sky, seems to be brighter than the North star.
I have also seen the non-storm related flashes once. It was sometime between December and February, and I was sitting on the couch in the middle of the afternoon. There were two flashes, about 15 minutes apart, and were so bright that if my blinds had not been open I would have sworn that somebody standing on the balcony had pointed a camera at my window from several feet away and set the flash off. I do not recall whether or not there was any accompanying noise, I want to say there wasn't. Sky was clear and it was very bright outside, which is why it caught me off guard.
About 1-2 weeks ago i noticed a VERY low flying plane in the morning that appeared to be military. It was a tan/greenish color, was very large and had the rounded belly and wings of a cargo plane. It was headed North, whereas the closest airport is West, and was lower than any plane I've ever seen (including those coming in for landings when I used to live close to an airport).
I wish I had replied on the first page, but better late than never I suppose.
edit: Cardinal directions were determined in reference to the coastline, so I am fairly confident in them. Quoting: Earthsick
Earthsick, late is infinitely better than never! Your post is very well received and will help to gauge the enormity of what is happening. Yes the sky was very intense on Monday night, but you won't hear about it on the local news. Letters to the editor will not be published in the daily newspaper concerning this activity, either. I was outside earlier and saw several flashes coming from the east... out your way. This was at around 10:30PM (5/29/09).
Isn't it amazing how many sightings start out, 'I was outside having a smoke'? Smoking might be bad in some ways, but it does have its rewards. Did you see the flashes on a Sunday by any chance? My wife was washing dishes and she, along with our daughter, saw the flash from a window facing north. They did not hear the sound that I described, but I was near a window that faces south.
The details you describe match up perfectly with my experiences. Welcome to the fold, as I'm sure you'll not be a stranger to this discussion. Sending much love and light your way, Earthsick. Those who wish to be...

No flashes since the ones I saw a month or two ago, but certainly enough goings on to make me wonder.
Fear not, I have no intention of quitting smoking. I was about to go on a smoke break, but I'll wait until 1am and stay outside for ten minutes as that seems to be peak activity time.
I appreciate the warm welcome, I'll report anything I see or hear.
another edit: there was a storm earlier this evening that was like nothing I have EVER seen, in my entire life. There was no rain where I was until about 11:50 on my way to work, however from about 10-11 there was so much lightning it looked like a strobe light in the sky. I counted 3-5 flashes in the Western sky every second without pause for the 5 minutes I was outside, and through my skylight I could see that it continued after I went inside. I heard not one stroke of thunder.

Thanks for the clarification. The activity STARTS at 1:10AM, but seems to be the most intense from about 2-3AM. If I'm sitting at my desk, it sounds like a cosmic vacuum cleaner. When I go outside I can listen in surround sound.

Ominous noises could be heard in the sky early this morning between 1 AM and 4 AM EST in North Carolina. A very high pitched squeal similar to audio feedback could easily be heard, and sometimes intensified and sounded like the horn on a fire truck or an approaching train. Deep rumbles that seemed to shake the ground were also prevalent as well as unusual flashes of light, and were not anything I would associate with any weather I have encountered in 43 years. Most of the activity seemed to originate from the south, but at times was hard to tell.
Part of the western and northern skies, although overcast, appeared to have a strange glow when I went outside to investigate the noises. I climbed onto my roof for a better vantage point, as did my wife until she seemed spooked and went to bed.
Niether of us can readily identify what we have been hearing, but we first noticed similar faint noises in February. They seem to be more frequent and more intense recently, although a thorough search on google will yield no (count them 0) results.
If there are any truth seekers, night watchmen, or just people concerned for their own safety left at GLP, this message is for you.
The regular crowd of dipshits who will ridicule me for paying attention while questioning my sanity/state of mind are sure to add their shillings worth and attempt to bury this under a pile of shit. I wouldn't expect anything less.
Stay up and listen tonight would be my advise and my answer to all of the expected ignorant questions, comments, and attacks.

I've been hearing something very similar to what you talk about, and it's been since last fall. I'm in Upstate SC. I'll try to take a few smoke breaks between 2-3 and see what I notice.
When I'm inside at work I'm behind several thick walls and have an AC unit and fan running next to me, so I'm not surprised I haven't noticed anything inside.
There is another incident I forgot to mention earlier. About two weeks ago when I left for work I noticed as soon as I stepped out of my front door a smell that was halfway between rotting garbage and sulfur. At first I thought it was the 3-day old trash bags my next door neighbor likes to leave on the balcony, but I smelled it all the way to my car. When I got to work, several miles away, I smelled it on the way from my car into the building. It seemed to cover the city. I can't say how long it lasted, because from that point on every time I was outside I was smoking and my sense of smell isn't the best to start with, but it was distinctive, and my girlfriend could smell it as well (insisted that it was the garbage on the balcony, but she already thinks I'm out of my mind). |

It is very cool !
Earthsick, I"ve seen those flashes. It's happened day & night, can be seen indoors. I have a clue maybe. One night several months ago, winter, very still, I had the urge to step outside about 4 am. I took the camera with me. There was a craft, maybe 100 ft. across with strobing lights on each side/wing, one white & one red. It was hovering above the roof of the building across the drive, maybe 20 ft. above the roof. When I turned on the camera, it flew north fast, in between the hwy light poles and across a field. Then, poof ! It was too fast, and all I got were the lights.
Ooh, the smell too, was here a couple of weeks ago. It was just as you describe.
Candace, your information resonates. If the amount of craft that I see daily above me is any indication, there have to be millions of craft. Many are very small, car size, motorcycle size, personal vehicles.
For some reason, I am aware of at least two leaders here both Enki, and a woman whose name I can't get to the tip of my tongue but she is queenly & motherly, with another leader on the way, seems to be Marduk. There are more. I knew it last hurricane season when viewing photos of the cloudships. One resembled Huracan and another Quetzalcoatl.

Yes that is an accurate way to describe the sound. It can be like an approaching airplane on a treadmill, and the sound can persist for hours. I've never been near a tornado but I'll take your word for it. It's really hard to describe a sound you've never heard before. But your account rings true with what I have perceived. More interesting than you know. I grabbed the image and tuned it up in Picasa 3. It's free and easy. I had to smallerize it to post it, so what you could see larger is not as easy. Even so, I think you will see that what is in the cloud vapor isn't normal. BTW, the swirly pattern is normal.

In the Western sky, ~60 degrees from the horizon there is the usual multi-colored star I see every night, though it was not flashing colors as far as I could tell (lots of light pollution here).
What intrigues me is ~15 degrees down and a little to the left is a dimmer star(?) that is twinkling like mad that I've never seen before. I stared at it for a minute and could've sworn I caught glimpses of smaller lights moving around it, almost too dim to see. However, I also have lost a lot of sleep recently and as a result am probably prone to mild visual/auditory hallucinations.

small super twinkley star is gone. that segment of sky is empty. other stars are still visible, I highly doubt it's covered by clouds. Will check again ~3:30 to see if it's back.
edit: I didn't see it move in any way I could discern, I (think I) saw smaller lights moving around it. It was yellow/white but flashing very rapidly.
The one that is blue/green/red/orangish is usually brighter than anything else in the sky but the moon.

I have had two close encounters with missing time, so I tend to pay attention also. Your opinion on this matter would be appreciated if you get the chance. Something unusual is afoot and I'm requesting all the help I can get to find out more. Right now I'm hearing 3 or 4 loud tones and some kind of distortion. The window I'm near is facing south, so you might try the same.
Check my website. www.abundanthope.net and please people who KNOW something is going on, PLEASE KEEP FINDING your courage to post this here on GLP and elsewhere, the debunkers and shills be damned. Some ARE professionals here to try to talk you out of what you KNOW, SEE, FEEL and HEAR and you have a right to express that, and in doing so, you are making GLP GODLIKE, which I hope was the intention of the creator of GLP.
I don't know what's going on in North Carolina, but lots of folks are noticing all kinds of sounds and they have many origins. The Atlantic Rift is not healthy right now, don't know if that is it. Also underground drilling of tunnels as a cause. THe planet is HUGELY sifting and there is a plan which I am trying to get out there. This is the end of our current cycle and huge changes are part of it and that is WHY star fleet is here at this time.
Star fleet includes the Creator Son of our Universe (GOD), and Esu Immanuel, the TWO that were here 2000 years ago. (and have returned) There was a reason for that visit then and for the return now. We have a massive number of ships in the general vicinity of this solar system, 10 million of them, mostly watchers, but some here to be part of the ascension and cleansing of the planet.
When the magnetic pole reversal begins, the planet will be put to sleep, all the life forms, in a process called "stasis" Sort of like pausing a DVD, but your molecules are paused instead. We were in stasis back in 1992 when we entered the photon belt, and also the sun was worked on around that time. You have done this before, and you are fine, OK? When the magnetic field comes down, there will be heavy cosmic rays and life must be protected through the reversal until there is some magnetic field back in place.
So you need not worry in that regards. The story is bigger than I can post tonight. But please don't let the ones with big mouths get you down and destroy the work here. If they muck up a thread, start another thread, and another and another. You have some right to truth. Quoting: Candace

I lived in Wilmington, NC during 2005-2006 and I heard the very loud boom sounds, but it was during the daytime and it sounded like war games. Lots of booms.
I never heard it mentioned on the news. I had just learned about Nancy and the Zeta's and figured it was the earth stretches that she talks about.
I'm back in East Tennesse now, and though I haven't heard the booms anymore, I am seeing cloud ships everywhere. I point at them now so they know I can see them. I hope they are friendly.
I KNOW these are "rapturous" times and I also KNOW that is why I am on the planet. I came here for the "ascension ride" and I'm guessing most of you guys are here for the same reason.
Release the fear
Enjoy the ride
Love is here
We'll all be fine |

If you cant find anything sensitive enough to capture the sound for others to hear.
Then its happening in YOUR ears and you need to go and see a Doctor.
Your wife was spooked because you were climbing on the roof at 4am trying to find strange sounds she couldn't hear. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20912

 | | Re: Isn't Anyone Paying Attention To The Skies??? | Quote | Hi guys I've had other matters to attend to. Your continued attention to the skies is advised as always.
As for the poster who alluded to my wife thinking I'm some kind of a whacko, nothing could be further from the truth. Upon asking her why she left the rooftop Monday night, she said the event did shake her up and she went inside to meditate.
Thanks for your concern regarding my mental health, but my ability to accurately deduce what is happening around me has never been better.
I will be back to my skywatching tonight and will update this thread accordingly. Peace, love, and light to you and yours. Those who wish to be...

 | | Re: Isn't Anyone Paying Attention To The Skies??? | Quote | Okay, so I set up the camera rig the other night, and took some photos. It was a bit hazy, so there wasn't much to see. No glow at the horizon. Didn't even catch a UFO, and that is usually easy.
But, I'll keep looking.
It occured to me that some of the earthbound noises could be normal things, of course. As a musician, I've kept some late hours at times, and still do.
There are street cleaners/parking lot cleaners that have very loud humming & bumping noises. They start work at about 1 AM until done or dawn.
Also, if anyone is near an area where big ass trucks dig and haul soil in & out, for new construction, this too could be the cause. Really noisy, annoying, and mostly at night.
Another possibility - your standard variety dippsy dumpster trucks. they work in the wee hours, and slam the dumpsters around, booming noises.
Just food for thought. **** PEACE ****

 | | Re: Isn't Anyone Paying Attention To The Skies??? | Quote | Thanks for the heads up TU. I am not one to raise a flag unless the situation warrants attention. In this case, time will tell if the activities of Monday night will be repeated. I have a sneaking suspicion that these things will continue to increase in frequency and intensity, and climax with a catalyzing event.
You can rest assured that I will continue to monitor the situation and suggest that others do the same. While I do not promote fear, I am a dedicated proponent of awareness. Some may suggest that I am merely chasing my tail, but that is all well and good. Chase it I must. Those who wish to be...
