the fact that most people accept the technology they are shown as the pinacle of tech evolution makes them blind to the realities of space travel.

oh yea they went to the moon and still do, it is the most geostrategic point for any military, you have the whole earth spinning around your sights.

the question should be: who went and goes and with what vessel?
and then: for what reason?

the missions in the public spotlight were no more than an episode of star trek on tv.

information is knowledge
knowledge is power
history is not reported, it is created
$$$$ are god and tv his apostle (sad isnt it? for a limitless species?

Straight from the horses mouths , when 5 of Richard Nixons advisors from the 60s say on video that Nixon gave the go ahead to make fake moon landing film to boost his own image, then the hoax theory really does start to hold even more water

Donald Rumsfield, Henry Kissinger, Richard Helms, Lawrence Eagleburger, Alexander Haig all speak here about Richard Nixons decision. They admit openly that Nixon took the decision to fake the moon landing film. watch the video

Rumsfield openly admits that they hired Stanley Kubrick to make the fakes, watch the video

So how comes the Japanese SELENE lunar mission spotted the apollo 15 landing site in 2008?

Besides, you wouldn't accept evidence anyway.
You'd say it was photoshopped or dismiss them outright like
you guys did with this image of the Apollo 15 site:

as I recall several years ago NASA said they were going to focus the hubble on it to put any conspiracies to rest but then they never did. I don't recall the details.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 688710

No, NASA wouldn't claim that, because Hubble is not capable of imaging things as small as a LEM descent stage or a lunar rover on the moon.

NOT GOOD ENOUGH, FAR FROM IT. If they are close to the moon then they should have much better pictures to prove that is where the Apollo 15 craft landed. I'm not saying they didn't go there or they did but those pictures aren't good enough and they can do much better. Especially when it is possible to film the moon this close from earth with a 12" telescope. Space agencies are still taking the piss out of us all for whatever reasons.

Was the mission to look for a damn moon buggy? It's what silver, grey and not much bigger than two shopping carts. Yes they can miss a whole hell of a lot of stuff.

Hey yoshimoto, lets spend billions looking for a buggy. Or do you think it was a quest for science.

Open your damn eyes.

Your missing what the article is actually saying, their is 'No' evidence whatsoever of the Apollo missions. What they are saying is that there are 'No' tracks of any moon buggys traversing in the areas where they should be showing in the photos. Nothing, zero, Nada.

This Japanese orbiter has resolution far in excess of what would be required to see a moon buggy.

So unless some ET's stole the moon buggy off the moon, if it doesn't show up in the pictures it was never there in the first place.

I believe the entire map is set to be used in a google earth like program to allow scientists to zoom in on any location on the moon. So I think it's just a matter of time until this is proven true or false. It's a pretty simple thing. Forget about footprints and tire tracks...if the equipment and flag and all that they supposedly left there is not there, the whole thing was a hoax.

Re: BREAKING (I guess) Japanese Orbiter Finds No Evidence Apollo Missions Landed On Moon...Oops!
From Wiki:

Main orbiter

The main orbiter is a rectangular box measuring about 2.1 m by 4.2 m, with a launch mass of about 2,914 kg.[9]

* Mass: 2,914 kg
* Size: 2.1 x 2.1 x 4.8 m
* Attitude control: Three-axis stabilized
* Power: 3.5 kW (Max.)
* Mission period: 1 year
* Mission orbit: Circular orbit
* Altitude 100 km
* Inclination 90 degree

Payload

SELENE carries 13 scientific instruments, including imagers, a radar sounder, a laser altimeter, an X-ray fluorescence spectrometer and a gamma ray spectrometer. Their objectives are "to obtain scientific data of the lunar origin and evolution and to develop the technology for the future lunar exploration", according to the official website.[17]

* Terrain camera (TC) (resolution 10 meters per pixel)[18]
* X-Ray fluorescence spectrometer (XRS)
* Lunar magnetometer (LMAG)
* Spectral profiler (SP) (resolution per pixel is 562 by 400 m)
* Multi-band imager (MI) (resolution of visible light 20 meters per pixel, near-infrared 62 meters per pixel)
* Laser altimeter (LALT)
* Lunar radar sounder (LRS)
* Gamma ray spectrometer (GRS)
* Charged particle spectrometer (CPS)
* Plasma analyzer (PACE)
* Upper atmosphere and plasma imager (UPI)
* Radio wave repeater (RSAT) aboard Okina
* Radio wave source for VLBI (VRAD) aboard Okina and Ouna

Also, two HDTV cameras with 3*CCD 2.2 megapixels, one wide-angle camera and one telephoto camera are on board, primarily for public relations purposes.[19]

Along with scientific instruments, JAXA collected names and messages to be carried on SELENE through their "Wish Upon the Moon" campaign.[20] The 412,627 names and messages collected were printed on a sheet measuring 280 mm × 160 mm, at a size of 70 µm per character. The sheet was installed under the photovoltaic modules and the cooling panels for the instruments, beneath the multi-layered insulation.

Google earth: Most land areas are covered in satellite imagery with a resolution of about 15 m per pixel. This base imagery is 30m multispectral Landsat which is pansharpened with the 15m [panchromatic] Landsat imagery. However, Google is actively replacing this base imagery with 2.5m SPOTImage imagery and several higher resolution datasets mentioned below. Some population centers are also covered by aircraft imagery (orthophotography) with several pixels per meter. Oceans are covered at a much lower resolution, as are a number of islands; notably, the Isles of Scilly off southwest England, were at a resolution of about 500 m or less, however this has now been addressed.
