What are your plans regarding your city, or your surrounding neighbourhood?
I mean enough with arguing with the debunkers, it just becomes personal vendettas then.
Do you guys have anything in plan in regards to the people around you other than your family and friends.
Have any of you guys contemplated on making yourself useful to the broader public.
I need help becuz I have been constantly worrying about how to write letters to my city councillor, mayor, etc. On how else I can be of use to the broader public. Ive been worrying about this for very long, and it occurred for a dumb-dumb like me the best place would be what fellow glpers think.
Please no bashing, if you dont "believe" in planet x or cant take it seriously, please leave me and anyone trying to make a contribution alone. ty
so far my plans are to educate my former high school and university on how to garden. The high school being a smaller venue, it'll be easy. But for my university, teaching ppl to garden is not going to be a very easy thing. I hope food shortages occur rapidly way before the last weeks, so there is more time to work with ppl, and atleast show them how to garden without having to tell them about the planet.
And from the university I plan on making some noise hopefully.
What are your plans? Please try to have a meaningful conversation |

Disaster preparedness is never a bad thing. I live in an
Earthquake zone and having a quake kit only makes sense.
The reason for doing it shouldn't matter really.

I would in no way point my mayor towards zetatalk. What I would instead do is point him towards the food shortages going around in our place.
Hes shown a track record of standing upto lobbyists, and thinks in a way not comprehensible to many (perfect glp material lol j/k).
Anything like encouragin ppl to garden would be huge boost.
I want to state the fact that this thread is not about a bunch of supermans saving the world. But whatever is within your reach.
Again, this is not saving ppl, but atleast just teaching them to garden. That is a very realistic approach. Depending upon how smart and genuinely nice ur mayor is, it is actually a very realistic approach thats actually a win-win situation for both sides. Why wouldnt you as a mayor, have a more independent crowd, looking at how things dont seem to be getting any better.

How about people who have done so posting what it is they have collected
for their preparedness package.
I make sure I keep plenty of canned goods on hand, enough for
2 months food. 2 five gallon water jugs, about 10 pounds of
dried rice and beans, a wind up radio and a battery powered
radio and plenty of batteries on hand, along with a crank
flashlight and a battery operated one. I want to get a
water purification kit. They should be coming out soon
with a special straw that will last for up to a year for
one individual to use. I'll post more info about that when
I can find it. I also have a first aid kit with antibiotics
that I replace every year.
There's more, but that's just off the top of my head. I keep
all that fresh by cycling out the old with new stuff. I
love beans and rice anyway.

hey postman ty for the update. I just glimpsed thru the link.
Thats a quick fix, but what happens if it breaks or u lose it.
Now the source being zetatalk, i think i remember reading that if you were to steam water and let it drip to another vessel, that would essentially be pure water.
Do you understand what I meant by that? Although i dont know how mercury would work with this mechanism (cuz it would evaporate with water, and condensate with it as well. No? |
