WICHITA, Kansas - KSN has confirmed that abortion provider Dr. George Tiller was shot and killed this morning.

It happened just after 10 a.m. at Reformation Lutheran Church at 7601 E. 13th street.

Wichita police say the shooting happened in the lobby of the church.

They are looking for a white male in his 50's, last seen in a powder blue Ford Taurus with the Kansas tag 225BAB. The tag is traced back to a residence in Marion, KS.

Dr. Tiller has been the focus of controversial and sometimes violent protests, because he is one of the few doctors in the country that performs late-term abortions.
