Huxley [Brave New World] wrote about manipulation of people during the prenatal process to bring about a caste system. Much like our present-day DNA experiments.

Orwell [1984] wrote about manipulating people through propaganda and surveillance.

These two British subjects were eerily correct in their predictions. Their country is the most advanced in the surveillance techniques used on their population.

I know that Orwell's book was written in 1948; hence the title of "1984".

I'm not sure exactly when Huxley wrote "Brave New World" and "Brave New World Revisited", but I think it was in the 1930s or 1940s.
