I turn 47 in 45 minutes and would like a GLP birthday gift. Please share and offer your words of wisdom in traversing the midlife years, what you've learned, etc. All I keep thinking of so far is a line from a Grateful Dead song, "What a long strange trip it's been..."

I agree with that! In fact, I pretty much agree with the concepts in "The Secret" and the Law of Attraction, what you think about does make a difference.

I agree with the secret. I saw it from the very begining as a way for the authors to make a boat load of money. The law of attraction works for you if its in your favor.
Case in point, when I was playing foot ball I was a defensive line backer. We were getting whiped off the field. At 1/2 time I closed my eyes and saw the football going into my arms and their wastn anything the other team could do about it.
Sure enough, 3rd play of the first set. I got the football on a fumble and ran it in for a touch down unapposed. That showed us where their softspot was and we got 2 more touchdowns for the win the same way.
But If I were to try it that way every game their was no way it would work.

I hope too you have someone special you can share it with.
Ive spent many birthdays alone (travelling), if youre alone make your own fun....christ go to any club and tell them it your birthday and you'll have a blast.

They have the power to create reality

I could explain it better but I would need charts, graphs and an easel.

By the way....which ones pink?

Thank you all so much for your kind comments and thoughts! I love the purple bananas and can honestly say I've never before gotten a purple banana for my birthday!! The thoughts from the young-looking mom are beautiful, reminds me of some thoughts I have whenever I see the colorful autumn leaves, how nature shows us that evening in the ending of life a burst of beauty comes along...as your mom says, each season has it's own beauty; in nature as in life.
