I picked up a new PC last week, it came with XP.

The first thing I did was to put Windows 7 on it, to see how it was.

So far, it's been working pretty well for me. Of course, to be fair, my needs for this machine aren't all that demanding.

So far, it seems pretty stable

In ten years we'll look back on this moment, laugh nervously, and quickly change the subject.

I have installed Ubuntu 9.04 along side windows, been using it off and on for a coupla months now. I'm undecided on weather I like it or not. But it is a very cool alternative to windows for sure.

Re: Windows Vista Service Pack II Ready for Download
Windows 7 RC1 Build 7100 is great! Just got a new gaming supercomputer with the new Intel i7-920 with 9 GB DDR3, 1TB HDD, ATI HD 4870 w/ 1GB, Vista Home Premium. Never liked Vista, so after hearing Win 7 runs much smoother than it, I immediately upgraded. It does not come with Windows Mail, Address Book (except contact cards) because, rumor has it, Live Mail will replace it among Live Essentials...

Now I want to go and download 7, ehh, maybe not tonight, but it will bug me now for several days until I do it. Maybe I'll read some more reviews first, remember, the license key is only good for about a year, then they want your money.
