OK OP ask yourself if you do away from the fed gov could you support yourselves?
From here it doesn't appear so!
Now Montana and Texas are a different story.
Absolutely! California has:
The most productive agricultural land on earth.
The most advanced technology industry on earth.
The best developed venture capital system on earth.
Many of the finest universities on earth.
And if it seceded, it'd have an extra $100 billion or so a year to play with.
