So there were beings that we're among us (or one of us rose up to such a 'state of being' at some point in our history that performed a service that was 'special' for humankind/spirits developing here?

Ahem, but it seems this can be said for both yourself and Saxon, heck everybody, including myself... clearly there is confusion, as there is a huge chasm of lack of understanding.. please be patient, and keep searching and tempering your own truth brother or sister.
do feel that when we have truly realized this thing called 'TRUTH' i bet you there will be no confusion whatsoever.
total understanding, and i am afraid, that those that will not realize this for oneself, from lack of personal seeking (failing inner litmus test), one may miss out on the 'understanding exemplified as UNITY'....miss the boat so to speak.
anything can be said, tossed out, but it is entirely up to oneself what gets in to their core belief systems.
this "Father", our Creator, one's "SOURCE of BEING"...blessed us with a mind...to find our own Truth that will lead back to the Father. it does take courage to open one's mind. and it does take mindful to guard, or discern for oneself, what is Truth or fallacy.
it feels that just by being here, we are all "prodigal Sons" in a sense, until we learn how to return to the Father.
