User ID: 576799  United States06/05/2009 04:11 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My 16 year old son self-identifies as a Libertarian and considers himself to be indy (independent). I believe this is the wave of the future as this next generation comes into power following this current group of liberal Obamabots. The liberal Obamabot generation are largely the children of the hippie generation so it follows that they have adopted the liberal mindset. Kids my sons age are the children of disenchanted yuppies who were largely more conservative than the generation before them. Indy kids have taken bits and pieces of many generations and melded them together to form their own style; a style that rejects conformity and accepts uniqueness,originality and personal liberty as being the norm. I believe there will be a backlash against Liberalism as it attempts to implement policies that are inherently anti-American and stand in direct contrast to our Constitution. The generation my son is a part of loves and values their independence. I think the Liberatarian Party is going to experience a monumental rise in power within the next one to two election cycles. The most important thing that needs to happen is the rise of an inspiring leader who is able to articulate what America and our Constitution stands for. Liberty is key.  |

I like the young generation of today, they are independent and rebelious, which will help liberty to make a comeback. I find my self shocked at the awareness level in some of these 14-20 year olds I'm seeing. I'm 28 and pretty upset with a lot of the people my age. I seem to be finding youngsters that really want to work hard and do some good in the world. |
