Why didn't someone get on the forum and PM or email a mod?

That pretty much sums it up.
I listened for 2 hours, on and off, just to force myself to hope it got better, jumping through the two rooms where everyone was. 2 hours of insults, voice machines, unfunny jokes, some brain dead flirting. I can't think of anything that caught my interest...except a mention of alien goats...and that guy dodged the questions trinity had.
The first few nights were awesome, we talked about so much stuff (science, politics, economy, etc), had fun, joked, it was great...this isn't, and it's saturday night, should be prime time for something like GLP chat.
I'm just venting, like OP, because it's got so much potential, and I had high hopes for it. I wish I knew a way to fix it, short of mods just tossing out the hosers.

I seem to recall the old ancient glp chat had some very questionable goings on's, peeps getting verbally abused, it was a nuthouse.
I don't see how this one will be any different.
I'll pass. Got better things to do....

I suppose I misunderstood this as an ongoing present issue in the chat.
As I was fairly involved in the last one, I can assure everyone it is likely to become the outcast room for those banned in the forum. There is a strong proclivity toward other things more related to sexual escapades than discussion of world politic. It will require even more moderation than the forum in the end.

Since I didn't see any of this I cant say with conviction, but has it crossed anyone's mind he might be trolling you all for a laugh? There are some individuals who find the whole concept of GLP pretty damn funny and might find that sort of thing entertaining for a bit..... |

I agree...but it's stagnating, so it was worth a mention. People come in, they listen for 5 minutes, they log out. Around 20 or so people in at any one time, simply because of the churn, and it's been the same for a couple days now.
If it dies, oh well...but I'd rather see it grow into what Trinity was talking about in the beginning, an enhancement to the site...not a zombie playground.
