His web page is still up, or it was last time I looked, he has expanded it a bit, and thrown a bit of sand over the Nancy era....but still the delusions run deep and fast! A true nut. >> A true nut. He couldn't even stay away for a whole week. I am amazed at how short some peoples attention spans are. What I find fascinating is that, over on A.A/IDW's thread, a poster *requested* the List, then A.A/IDW HIMSELF said to post it. And when I did, he had to go complain to mods, get it removed and tried to get me banned. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74444 Still amusing. Feel free to link/redistribute, etc., etc. A.A/IDW reaped what he sowed. You're welcome. Life Is But A Dream!! Greece defaulted but nothing dire happened as a result. Nobody nuked anyone, no wars started, none of the doom he hoped for came. Clif is now cutting his losses in the face of yet another failure and is auctioning off his "data" and hopefully going into retirement (I'll believe that when I see it - he seems to like the big fish in a small pond kind of "fame" he has grown accustomed to, and the money.). |

Yes, and "2012" also USED to be one of those, because it was an alleged ruse to keep people from preparing for the pole shift in time, because "2012 is too far out"- or it WAS, according to Nancy. | Circuit Breaker User ID: 1332648 03/17/2012 07:58 AM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's gone up 55 cents in the past two weeks here. I'm contemplating getting rid of my Toyota 4Runner because I have a 45 mile commute each way. The 4Runner gets around 17 mpg highway which requires me to fill up every four days. That runs me $75...or about $450 a month (almost a quarter of my monthly salary) or $5,412 a year. I've thought about getting a 2012 Honda Civic that gets 39 mpg. Since it only has an 11.5 gallon tank (compared to 25 in the 4Runner), I'd still have to fill up every four days. BUT, it would only cost me about $35 each time...or $213 a month. HALF of what I'm paying now. So, even if my monthly car payment went up $50 to $75 a month, I'm still coming out ahead by at least $100 a month. I keep hoping I'm going to find an IT (systems admin or network admin) here where I live. For one thing, jobs here in Colorado Springs pay about 20% more than they do down in Pueblo (where I currently work) AND I wouldn't have that long commute. My wife and I might even be able to carpool in her car which gets 23 city/33 highway. Unfortunately, a majority of the major employers in Colorado Springs have ties to the military and, therefore, require a security clearance. Right now, they're only interested in hiring people who already have such clearance since it costs money for them to get you one if you don't have it. I've applied for the same job with the county (where my wife works) ten times and they won't even give me an interview...even though I'm doing the same job in Pueblo County. And for that job I only had to apply once and landed it. Go figure. A voice of reason in a world of woo-woos. |

Quoting: Circuit Breaker Something doesnt add up here C.B. the 4runner (which is what a hilux is called over there) a 4x4 right? thats what I have- a 4x4 hilux (mine is a single cab with aluminium tray on its back fitted with the 2.4 diesel and 5 speed manual) mine gets 10L/100 km- I know because the fuel guage doesnt actually work, so I reset the trip meter every time I fill up (near enough to $100 a tank) and I get just over 550 kilometers a tankfull before running out so basically my diesel hilux gets 23mpg which is a lot better than your 4runner is getting, in fact my town cycle is equal to your city cycle for the same car- and mines twenty years old.... |

| aussie 763624 User ID: 763624 03/18/2012 01:17 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What doesn't add up? The 4Runner is a V8 that uses regular gas...not diesel. If you look at the ratings for the V8 4Runner, it gets 16 to 17 mpg highway. Quoting: Circuit Breaker v8?? toyota 4 runner?? must be an american export only then, they certainly dont come with v8's here or in south africa must be using the lexus v8 then, afaik thats the only v8 in the toyota range we get 4cyl diesel (intercooled turbo in the new toyotas, mine only gets the naturally aspirated diesel but its 20 yrs old) the 4 cyl petrol or the v6 petrol in fact v8's in any form are pretty slim on the grounds thesedays, they havent been big sellers since the 1970's Ford and GMH both have v8's in their ranges, but its a pretty small market these days, mostly either in the $40000+ `sports' playtoys, or the statesmans/ltd luxury cars (and a lot of those are 6cyl as well) 4 cylinders are the norm in the small and medium sized cars, with 6 cylinders in the larger `family' cars like the dunnydoors and the falcons and 4wd's, altho most 4wd are diesels and have been for the last decade or more |
