Drones would be useless a week after some planetary catastrophe, Melfy. Their operation relies on a vast technological infrastructure, including but not limited to a functional GPS array, fuel and maintenance, a global communications network, etc.

Of course your global catastrophe scenarios are all fueled by and based upon idiotic paranoia, so none of them is even remotely plausible when evaluated by persons who lack severe brain damage or advanced dementia.
