I think you have hit on something there. It does become a rather exclusive club. That is an ego trip isn't it.

Yep. I have observed this as being a key ingredient of the "channeling" phenomenon. There is an almost irresistible lure of having 'inside information' which raises the person above the rest of what they see as the 'ignorant' ones, the 'un- chosen' ones.

You seem to have strong feelings or understanding of Channeling. I am amazed at the number of people who say they get messages from different sources. Do you have any suggestion on how to validate such claims?

Claims like "Earth halted in orbit"? Surely you jest.

That didn't prove she did not get the info through channeling . . . it just proves the info that was channeled was bogus. Could she not be a shill used to distribute disinformation and discredit legitimate info from other sources?

Oh, you mean how do you prove someone is "channeling". I have no idea.

That is why it is the perfect cover . . . it isn't me it is them, I didn't understand them, they won't talk about anything that could possibly be validated, your science is too primitive to understand our concepts, your are wrong we are right.

Well, yes, but some of what you said doesn't apply to Nancy. She 'channels' LOTS of stuff which can be validated. It's just that the built-in 'coverup' aspect of her story precludes her believers from seeking any outside opinions. It definately utilizes a cult mentality to make it all work on people.

All she has to say is that you are not seeing what you are seeing . . . we simulate reality to allow deniability so the weak people will not stampede, etc. I refuse to accept your evidence it is false.
 Quoting: George B

That was something she didn't resort to until the later years. It was a natural progression, I suppose, and proved that there is NOTHING anyone can say to disprove her once that kind of idea is accepted by her believers.

so you can confuse people about what I mean ... and continue to confuse orders of magnitude: where physically the Moon does spin/rotate relative to the Sun ... but not relative to Earth ...

For that I am a troll! LOL! Gobbledygook thinking and self-absorbed confusion from you.

ANYWAY, you were the one who hated the appellet "troll" or "shill" applied to you. When you can't win, you go down a notch instead of up?

Well, you have sunk to a new low.

By the way, you really are thick on these issues: the physical cuases can be multiple but this is different than the descriptive approach, identifying a motion relative to another. On the descriptive level the Moon only rotates relative to the Sun and other larger orbital motions such as the stars. It does not, relative to Earth. Caused by tidal lock, yes.

But the point is if you STOP THE ORBIT AROUND THE SUN, YOU ONLY NEED TO STOP THE ORBIT OF THE MOON AROUND THE EARTH FOR THE ROTATION THE SUN SEES TO STOP.

If however you stop the motion of the Sun around the centre of the galaxy, you need to stop the planets' revolution around the Sun AAAAANNNNNNDDDDD rotation in their own right, for the centre of the galaxy to see no rotation of those planets which rotate in their own right, on their way around the Sun.

Wrong. If the earth-moon system's orbital velocity were zero, and the moon's orbital velocity around the earth were zero, the moon would still rotate at the same velocity and the sun and stars would still see all sides of the moon. You would also still need more fuel to launch west on the moon than to launch east.

Re: Debunker Talk LIVE Chat 24/7 - A debunker's paradise!!
I think the point being made was that your statement that the moon does not rotate from earth's viewpoint is ludicrous, because, even as you admit, it DOES rotate on its own axis as far as the entire universe and all other viewpoints within it are concerned. By giving the example that if it rotated with a period of 28 days or 30 days, it would be said to be rotating on its own axis, but not if it rotates with a period of 29 days demonstrates the silliness of your original statement.

I hope that you now see this.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 587930

I saw the whole thing all along.

There is a difference in identifying the rotation as an "absolute", and the rotation as a viewpoint issue. The former is inaccurate (as Einstein would point out). Nothing simply "does" something; it is relative to other things not just in terms of physical combined forces, but VIEWPOINT.

So, it matters that the Moon around the Earth compares to a planet around the Sun or a given star.

From other viewpoints (such as from the Sun relative to the Moon, or from the centre of the galaxy relative to a planet that doesn't rotate as it revolves - like our Moon -- because it's tidally locked) ANYTHING can be said to be rotating. What is that going to help you clarify relative movements if you constantly conflate one level with another?

Re. movements: you missed what I said.

If you stop the Earth and Sun, and the Moon wasn't stopped -- as I've said -- the Moon's orbit would still be going and yes, the perceptual relativity (which is a physical fact) would still show the Moon's phases. I've said this MANY tmes.

My point here is you have to stop the Moon's rotation (and Earth's revolution) to stop the illusion.

BUT that's ALL.

If however you stop the Sun and orbiting planets relative to the centre of the galaxy, some would still rotate. This is NOT THE CASE FOR THE MOON relative to the Sun if you do the same thing.

As you know.

I am saying iven all revolutions stopped, the Moon would not rotate. The Earth would. The Moon's rotation is relative to objects further away than its primary revolution (Earth), AND is only due to that primary revolution, not rotation in its own right.

Which Menow acknowledged and then tried to change the topic to how it "wasn't the point" (when it was), and that he only "supposedly" misunderstood her (he did), and that tidal lock is the reason for the phenomenon (a phenomenon I was identifying), and that ecause tidal lock made it happen, the point that it is happening doesn't invalidate the idea that it's different orders of magnitude (superposition) of understnanding which have confused him (but it does and has).

And it is so.

Stop the motions of revolution -- of Earth AND Moon -- and the Sun wil not see any rotation of the Moon (no phases).

Stop the motions of revolution of the Sun and Planets and the centre of the galaxy will still see rotation of Earth and Venus, etc. They rotate relative to their axial centres of rotation on the simpler level.

Dummy.
Who can't admit he made an error about the whole thing and that he's been conflating the levels all along when saying "it rotates! it rotates!" -- yes, because of its more immediate REVOLUTION, not a rotation relative to that revolution (because of tidal lock).

You would only have to stop its REVOLUTION and the rotation from the Sun's point of view would stop -- if the Earth were also stopped. Quoting: mclarek 981736

Absolutely false.

This was the WHOLE POINT to start with. Quoting: mclarek 981736

Yes, it was, and you are WRONG.

-- that if the Earth stopped going forward but was still rotating, you wouldn't have to stop the Moon's rotation, for it hasn't any, relative to the Earth. Quoting: mclarek 981736

THERE! You and Nancy are claiming that Earth DRAGS the Moon around in rotation!! And your above gaffe says the same thing! Earth does NOT CAUSE LUNAR ROTATION!

However, what you'd have to do for the Moon, which Nancy doesn't understand, is still stop its orbit of the Earth, its revolution. Quoting: mclarek 981736

NO! That would NOT STOP LUNAR ROTATION!

Re: Debunker Talk LIVE Chat 24/7 - A debunker's paradise!!
Here are Nancy's("Zetas") claims about Lunar rotation:

[link to www.zetatalk.com]
We have made the statement that the Moon itself does not rotate. The Moon completes its orbit every 28 days while it has one-half of its sphere constantly facing the Earth, glued to the Earth. Thus, the Moon orbits but does not rotate. If the Moon were not in a perpetual dance with the Earth, it would not move at all. Rotation is driven by a liquid or semi-liquid core, not homogeneous, which has parts that attempt to move toward attractants and other parts which attempt to escape elements that repulse. The core is swirling about, like a dog chasing its tail. The Earth would rotate even without the presence of the Sun or other planets nearby. The Moon would not.

[link to www.zetatalk.com]
There is a technical term for the apparent rotation the Moon does, glued to the Earth as it is. The Moon itself, if out in space, would not rotate as it does not have a liquid core and is homogenous throughout in material. Why do some humans claim the Moon rotates? Either they do not have the mental ability to understand that the Moon is simply glued to the Earth, facing only one side to the Earth, or they are desperately arguing the point because we have said the Moon does not rotate. The disinformation team at work.
